The whole rep thing is a little confusing, isn't it? When I first came to kb I never even looked at it, I just read the posts. Then when I had a laugh or agreed/disagreed I started to notice who had posted what; funny how the same people catch your eye.

Later, I started to glance at rep believing that someone with more rep was possibly a more reliable source of wisdom. Later still, I realised with the social networking stuff that some folk might just bling friends and associates a lot and that they would skew the rep.

Now it's all multicoloured; I'm about to see what my new look will be. What with all the colours and such, I think I am more or less back to reading posts and seeing who I agree with. No disrespect intended to those who put in all the work to modify the system. I guess some will find it all interesting/entertaining/competitive. I'm back to thinking "what's it all about?"
