For a second there Finn I thought you had gone all patriotic with what looks nearly like a silver fern on the tank........ but thankfully my reality was not torn and it was simply a reflection
Nice and shiny mate!

Nice car tyre.
I don't think so.
It's got prickly things poking out, so it's obviously a specialised snow/ice tyre.
Congratulations, Finn! :niceone:
Ah... um..... you might need to put it on a diet - it looks like it's been eating too much Mrkn fast food.
Cue all the dumb questions, e.g., "What'll it do, Mister?"
"Emma Chizzit, Mister?"
"Why is the numberplate upside down?"
"Why is the numberplate upside down?"

Yes Km, VRSCDX Night Rod Special if i'm not mistaken (just been looking at Harleys on the intramanet). Does have a 240mm rear tyre.

Put 500k's on it this weekend. Met up with jrandom & kiwifruit at Cowcop and had planned lunch at Wellsford but a mate missed the Woodcock Rd turn off so we lost them. Takes a bit of getting used to and there was a fair bit of peg (or something) scraping, but still it handles fine. No corner over shoots which is probably a good thing cause if your ditched the thing it could take out a small village.
Here's some snaps I took this morning.

Of course it needs another couple of extra inches of ground clearance too.

I saved $7000 and got it much quicker than "You'll be lucky" HD dealers. The process is easy, even thought customs can hold things up a little.

I went through mine at 30. So what to people in Cambridge do during a mid-life crisis? Get a radio for their tractor? Buy a television?

Yes, regarding those chicken strips... at the point where you see them, the pegs are scraping.
Those aren't pegs ya clown, they're the Harley equivalent of trainer wheels - they put 'em on all their bikes to avoid lawsuits from new(ly fallen off) owners.
Nice looking bike man... I don't normally like Harleys.

Because I'm wearing cheek-less chaps and the thought of me being in a full size poster on your bedroom wall isn't very appealing.

A Harley doesn't distinguish between the two. It's covered in the manual.

Those V-Rods can move, man. Maybe I wouldn't have gotten such a spanking if I wasn't so tentative about going around corners, but I have yet to get my head around this 'leaning the bike over' thing.

Hardly. The thing takes up 2 lanes and is a bit difficult to get around. Once we hit an overtaking lane, JR & KF squeezed though and disappeared into the distance. I saw KF get his knee down on the first corner. The guy has style & grace on a motorbike I tell yah.

Chaps are by definition always cheek-less. Think about it - otherwise they would just be pants or trousers.
