Stiffer front end wanted

im after some new (stiffer)springs for the front shocks on my nc24 vfr400. where can i get them and how much would i be looking at approx? or is there any other way to stiffen the front end?

There's the dodgy don't-let-Robert-Taylor-see-you method of upping the preload by putting washers/spacer on the top of the springs. That and the next grade heavier oil usually transforms a VFR.

Of course the correct spring rate and having someone recondition them would be the responsible thing to do.

In stock and have sold lots for these. PM me. These will also respond to internal hydraulic upgrades but it does then become a dollar exercise.

Just for relevance the Ohlins superbike spring set and spacers that I quoted ( in the appropriate rate ) are $259.90 for the pair incl plus p&p. They are polished for less friction and the tolerance factor is very fine. A standard price and so that there is no misconception the price is in any way exorbitant.

And oh, if the customer decides that the spring rate is not quite right we exchange at no cost sans courier recovery fees. That is rather better than purchasing offshore to find that the rate is not quite right.

Worked a treat on my old girl, and yes getting the whole front end rebuilt would have been a good idea, problem was, it would have cost more than the bike...LOL

Yes I too was an apprentice many years ago so I understand where you are coming from.
