Went to sit my restricted license on Friday:
Bike warranted, rego'd and ready (checked 3 times over) - check
Got all my paperwork - check
Nothing illegal or dodgy about my getup - check
Map to testing centre - check
Tootled off to the testing centre, somewhere between home and Northcross (about 10 minutes ride), one of my indicator lenses fell off.
Damn.
Was all amped to do the test - testing officer says "I'll just have to check your lights and indicators are working" - me proudly "oh it's all fine, I've checked it alr.... HEY WHAT TH'!? "
So no test for me. Shit happens I know.
A replacement lens is 2-3wks ex Japan, so unless some kind Hornet (~'97) or VTR owner feels like loaning an indicator (or just the lens), I'll have to wait a few more weeks before I can sit my test :weep:

Bad luck! :pinch:
Try the wreckers - the indicator lenses are common to lots of Honda models.

If it is vehicle testing NZ a recheck will be free for up to 28 days after the original test. May be just as cheap to fit a pair of aftermarket blinkers.

nup. I had to pay the full $48.90 or whatever it was to re-book. They are sending me a form to request a refund, and so I'll have to write a story and hope for the best. :pinch:
I have rung just about every bike wrecker I can find and no dice. A mate is going to lend me a spare random indicator if I can't find one, but I guess I might just have to invest ins some aftermarket blingdercators. Can't be helped I guess...:D
