Am after a carb for my sons xl100 about a mid 70's model I think. Would appreciate any advice or offers. Cheers

Apart from wreckers, what about a carb from a chinese pitbike?
Mounting could be an issue however. The are pitbikes using an knock-off 110cc honda horizontal motor. Try here: http://newmanz.co.nz/zen/index.php?cPath=143&osCsid=ce3674262b5aef85624fa394907847c1

what happened to the original carb? its fairly difficult to completely destroy a carb

You'll be after a 22mm Mikuni for a XL100, for a bit more zip a 24mm Mikuni off a XL125.

As for one off a Chinese bike  you rip them off & throw away then put a Mikuni on if you want them to go somewhere near right

Cheers - Tried that - bolted up ok but the jet needle / needle jet must be incorrect it barely runs with it!

Had a 2 stroke carb on it! didn't run (surprise) - the timing was hugely out as well. It's a bit of a strange one but the hardware is in good condition (he bought it off another young fella).
