View Full Version : Wanna build yourself a house?

I have recently been offered an opportunity to be involved in a new business called e-Homes who do kitset houses. I have spent the last 2 days going through the design and prices and comparing them to the rest of the groups out there, and have to say that these are bloody good quality and well priced.
If anyone is looking to build, give me a yell and we can sort something out. It doesn't matter where in the country you are. We are doing a 100 house development in Wellington, and others in the SOuth Island too. As soon as my house is built I want to find some dirt and do one myself!

All I can say is get them BRANZ approved rather than going council by council... been there done that with other building products... Jesus H... what a kerfuffle.
As for the business - awesome. Anyone getting off their arse and actually doing something gets my vote

Haha yeah BRANZ are a nightmare and sometimes not worth what their appraisal is written on!
As far as this goes, they are not imported style kitset houses. Getting the sets from the likes of China to be compliant with NZ seismic standards etc is very difficult. We are very different to a lot of the rest of the world.
All of our materials come from NZ suppliers, prenail yards etc. and are actually designed by us and therefore can be played with to suit anyones particular needs. They are also not "low end" style housing, but they do represent the lower end cost wise.
Anyone keen can have a look at

No worries mate! If they were interested, we can also put them in touch with GOOD builders local to their area who can build the thing and project manage the sub-trade components (All involved with e-Homes have heaps of building experience. I myself am ex-Jalcon Homes). It makes it much easier by streamlining the process and also helps to save even more money! Eitherway ideas and advice are always free!

Exactly why I couldn't live past the bridge! I am slowly trying to get more rural. Less people and more tree's you see.
