Unless it's one of those brands you get in an upstairs dive off Cuba Street...

To all you cynics on here don't put the poor boy off, he'll be thinking his CBR will fall apart just down the street like a Kawasaki or a Suzuki or Ducati or something!

Is your fzr a 2kr?
Stevo
17th January 2005, 22:27
Yeah the Fizzer is 2kr model. Well The CBR is only about a week away from being fully finished. Just painting the fairings.
Actual damage was:
Top fairing, side fairing and front mudguard, beyond repair.
Broken (flush) side fairing mount on both the main frame and also the sump mount.
Missing headlight loom, and missing (presumably in many pieces) right side mirror.
Slight scuff mark on the rear fender and stone chips in the tank on the right side and hence the repaint.
Knob broken off from inside the right handlebar.
I got the side and top fairing and mirror from Vic M/c wreckers, headlight loom and (still waiting for...) front mudguard ex Japan. Everything else including a posey hugger, and flash as Michael Jackson A/m indicators came ex USA. Mostly courtesy of eBay.
I do not recommend ex Japan parts. Soooooo Slow!!!!!!! Can generally get parts ex USA in 5 or 6 working days whereas parts ex Japan are closer to being that many WEEKS!!!!! They are useless!
Anyway I have fired the bike up a few times. Simply twist the choke hit the "go" button and she roars into life............. sweeeeeeet as! That is a Honda for ya!
Anyway. Itching to ride it. Just awaiting the effing mudguard so I can get it the warrant!
