Ride in to work this morning, no problems, wander down to the carpark to go home ... jump on go about 10 feet and notice things are a little 'shaley' sure enough a blimmin flat back tyre! Closer inspection reveals a nice chunck of glass stuck in it >.<

Oh well I finally get to call in the wifey for a lift after so many times for her on the push bike :D

I can safely say I will be carrying a repair kit for the 3 day anzac onslaught now though hehe

That's a bummer man,

Gonna get the tyre replaced or just bog it up?

I reckon a GN wouldn't actually put too much stress o nthe tyre so the bogging option wouldn't be all that reckless.

Thought that ddoes depend on the size of the glass really..

I didnt pull the glass out to find out hehe

I will probably plug in but end up replacing the tyre

I don't want to sound like a cunt. But its this sort of thread that is starting to dilute Club 250. Why couldn't it have been posted in the general ravings? Just like the 250 rides should be in the meetings and events.
Have the moderators decided to let Club 250 become free range?

Y' can ride many miles on a completely flat tyre y'know. If you're careful. And cautious. And have huge balls.

I did think about that, but with all the blood rushing to my huge balls I couldn't even get on the bike

Ok, feedback noted, I will however say that the reason I posted here instead of general ravings or say the newbie section is alot of 250 riders are new riders, therefore may not have experienced a flat yet, so I figured reading about my experience may stimulate other 250 riders to prepare for this situation. I guess its a perception thing though right?

Glad you noticed! I saw it was flat when I parked up and wondered if it was your bike. Was going to put a note on your bike at lunchtime so you didn't ride off but I forgot.

:Oi: wtf?

What did you mean by "dilute"...?

What is appropriate posting in your mind? As far a I can tell *every* thread here could belong in another forum using the above logic...

Dilute :
To make thinner or more liquid by admixture
To diminish the strength, flavor, or brilliance of by admixture
To decrease the per share value of (common stock) by increasing the total number of shares

This particular thread is not 250 related. Punctures happen on other size bikes to ya' know.

If further explanation is required, then you won't understand and I'll be wasting my time trying.

Ahyuk  I got me a little ol'hornet with a big ol'180 tyre on zee back, I am to be thinking that this tyre is not standardamated fer a chew fiddy!

Does that mean I have to use non-250 rated tyre repair stuff or over 250 tyre repair stuffs?

And then, there was this one time at band camp ... :argue::girlfight::rofl:

FFS, the link you posted didn't even contain anything about punctures. "Try here"??? . . . why? Ive had a look, and cant find any threads about punctures. I, for one, would love to hear about punctures, repairs etc. I'm not so pedantic as to appoint myself as a moderator and tell others where to post. :nono:

That link is the "Newbie biker" section. If you had wanted to be puncture specific you could have tried the "Brakes-wheels-tyres" section, or maybe even the search function. But wait thats way to much effort right?
Dont worry, I realise that for some people it can be a struggle to read.

well i hate to break it to you but you did so shit happens and i bet you are one of those tossers who loves 'PC' aswell so fuck it. its a fair topic aimed at newish riders nd a 250cc bike being what we all learn on could make sense to be here. there may be more suitable topics for this to be under but it isent completly out of place so lighten up... or are you the fun police :Playnice:

don't the gn's run tube tyres anymore? if it does than repair kit is useless...

hmm the new ones have alloy wheels so maybe they do run tubeless hmmmmm:cool:

I remember my first flat as though it was yesterday - it was a single bedroom place, upstairs in the main street of Tauranga - and had the bonus of a live-in hottie!

You might as well have said "I know you are so what am I?" or invoked godwins. Equally childish and reflective of your personality.

This particular one did happen on a 250 however.

Most who ride bikes larger than 250 are well informed about punctures so club 250 is quite appropriate. Newbie would be too but really what's the difference? None as far as I can tell. There's no manifesto is there.

If further explanation is required, then you won't understand and I'll be wasting my time trying.

Oh pahhhleeeze you're cracking me up with this shit. Showing your age? Been here less than a year and you're already dictating how KB should be run. Priceless
