Hello! First post! Here's my 2007 Train - got a Fatbob headlight, Legend air suspension, PM front brakes, and lotsa other stuff. Took it up to Russel from Wgtn last year - ran great - one of the best trips of my riding life.
Love riding in New Zealand! Moved here three years ago from California. Don't miss California at all ;)

Hi firecrab,
Sweet bike. Whats the skinny on the air suspension? Good, Bad Average?
Never seen a bike with it.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Glad that you dig my bike too. I have to admit I'm quite in love with it, haha.
I don't care about Harley-Haters since this is my 14th bike (and my 2nd Harley). I have owned pretty much any type of street bike from a GSX-R 750 to a Honda VTX 1800 and I loved all of them.
Yeah, once one gets out of the cities, California has some great rides - just too many cops. The Angeles Crest must be one of my all-time favourite rides ever ... but also just too many cops these days. On the other hand, on an average weekend, at least one rider dies up there.
I'm originally an Austrian tho, just spent about 10 years in the US. Austria has got some sweet rides too.
Happy as in New Zealand tho. Lovely country, great people and great rides ... what more could I want? Once again, thanks for the welcome and I'm looking forward to hang out with you guys. Cheers!
btw - excuse my ignorance: zorst = exhaust ?

Thanks for all the cool comments once again, guys - hey - someone asked about the air suspension. It's a Legend system - I've got the controls on the handle bar, so I can raise and lower it while riding. The system replaces the stock shocks and comes with a compressor. Here's a photo of it completely lowered - one can ride like that but one better be careful when cornering ;)

Don't know what's got into KB lately..? Was expecting the usual Harley jokes...
Nice to see an owner taking pride in his ride! May not be my cup of tea, but then that's what biking is all about and wouldn't it be boring if we all had the same tastes?
However, it is a nice bike! Welcome to the nuthouse that is the most popular biking forum in NZ!

Thanks Edbear! I really like this forum! Oh, and if Harleys are not your cup o' tea and you ride a Suzuki - maybe you like the new "hog" I just bought during my lunch break (see attachment). I'll race you and your Boulevard! :devil2:

Hey! That's cool! What size is it?
I do like Harley's, but the 1200 Sporty is my fav. then the Electra Glide, and maybe the T-Sport, but mainly the Sporty! Oh, the Night-Rod is a cool bike too.
Whenever I ride with friends on Harley's they inevitably get left behind once the corners get interesting, but they sound awesome as no-one leaves a Harley with standard pipes! My little 805cc Boulevard, even two-up, is well able to match the pace of all bar the new 1600's although I have to change down on the steeper hills...
Unfortunately, when I can get a C50T with all the bits on-road for $14,600, a Harley is a bit pricey... Maybe one day... Meantime, the Missus and I love the Boulevard and love riding together, and ain't that what it's all about?:first:

It's a 200cc Suzuki Vanvan - it's hilarious. It's got a 180 rear tire! :O And I offered to race you with that one, not with the Harley ;)
I've ridden all kinds of bikes and loved all of them - for instance, in California I had a Honda VTX 1800 - now that was a fast cruiser! Sometimes I used to mess with squids on it - worked for the first 100 meters haha - they were like "WHAT?? How can something that big move that fast????"
Harleys are an acquired taste I guess. Next to the looks what I like about them are the sound of the engine and that *everything* on it is made of metal, except the parts that need plastic ;)
But to make this post not even longer - here's how I look at it (and it's basically the same thing you said): riding bikes is fun - choose what you like and go have fun! Don't be a dickhead regardless of what you're riding and stay safe.

You must envy CB & me seeing as we have a 1200 Sporty AND a T-Sport!!:2thumbsup
But all bikes are cool - it's just some of the owners I'm a bit dubious about..

Firecrab I have serious envy on that exhaust. Any idea of the decibel output? (Did the makers even bother with baffles  )

What he said, if those were around I might have been persuaded out of the V&H bigshots!

Big Radius 2into1 sound AWESOME. I had a Dyna with Shortshots, which also sounded good, but didn't have that low rumble these pipes have.
They come with baffles and are just loud enough - a tad more and they'd be in the obnoxious range and you'd get voted out of your neighbourhood real quick.
If you like low rumble in a responsible, still head turning loudness range, go for those. 2into1's are also better performance wise and these got the looks too. ;)
