Ok this ICE stuff is yummy.

Everything you wipe it onto turns to gold - plastic, chrome, painted surfaces.. The best and easiest polish I have ever used. Just smoooth it on with the applicator, and give it a quick lick with the included microfibre cloth, and bask in the gleam.
A little goes a long way too, so while its pricey, a bottle will last for ages.
It smells sorta like passionfruit too, so use it on the inside of your visor etc and it doesn't stink.
Repco and prolly Supercheap will have it. Buy some, its great.

Warehouse had it on a good special when I last looked (up here anyway). Might have a look.

Might try it. With the standard of paint finish on the Ducati though I can get a fine shine with just a dry cloth.

How much is "pricey"? :wait:ahh, I don't recall - I bought it a year ago and have only used a quarter of it. It was at the upper price end of polishes, but not "international" pricey.
If it's on special at the warehouse then that will cheaper, unless you have a wholesale account somewhere.

I think it was around $50 at the Warehouse, and special at $29.95. Might have a look this weekend.

Tried it on the Thunderbird today (mid metallic blue colour) and it seemed to leave streaks , did one side only of the bonnet to get a comparison and yep, smeary/streaky after I buffed it with cheese-cloth.
So is their a way to apply it and NOT having a streaky appearance??

I reveiwed this some time ago :oi-grr::lol: I've been using TW-Ice for a while and my opinion has changed little, very easy to use and yeild's really good results.
It's very economical to use if not to buy, i've been using the TW-Ice car wash too and that's all good.
The only real downside to this polish that i'm aware of is that the true "bling shine" of it wears off quite quickly but it's not really that big a deal because it's so easy to use and so economical too. It should be noted that TW-Ice is really only for a vehicle that already has a pretty decent finish on it, I personally would'nt buy it with the idea of trying to shine up some neglected chalky paint.
My brother is a bit of a stickler for his car/bike care products of which I reap the benefits  so let me tip ya this, there is an even better polish out there IMHO and it's Meguair's, it's a 3 step system but if your paint is in good nick polish wise you could get away with the last 2 steps easy, even maybe the last step.
Step one is a cleaner/light cut substance too get off road grime, bugs etc..
Step two is a polish, but NOT a wax, this is to put a briliant shine on the car/bike.
Step three is a pure Canuba wax, this stuff seals the two previous steps and give the polish protection if you like.
It's the Canuba wax that is of most interest to me, my god, I thought the TW-Ice was good at bringing the bling out in my bike's paint (and it is).
Case in point, I did my bike in TW-Ice and about a week later I went down to my brothers place and he said try this stuff (Meguiar's pure Canuba wax) so I washed the bike and we set to polishing it with said wax, OMG!
awesome I tell ya awesome!
Not quite as easy to use as TW-Ice but there's not much in it and the long term thing still has a question mark over it but at the moment, best i've ever used :niceone: (so far).
By the way i'm now blind from the shine on my bike.

You may need a cleaner polish first.
Make sure you get a decent and consistent application of on the vehicle with round and round motion of application not back an forth.
Use the microfibre cloth they supplied with the polish as this is much much better than a cheese cloth I promise you. Cheese cloth....That's so old school dude!

Wipe on a good coating and spread it around using their applicator - not so its wet wet, but just got that wet look to it.. fingertip slippery, like a very thin oil - not dry.. then buff with their microfibre cloth.

Have to agree with NSarge on the Meguir's. Also there is a step which can be added in that is also important. After washing the vehicle with meguir's wash. Use the rubbing clay, with a wet wash. The clay when rubbed over the painted surface, picks up the micro pieces of crap still left in the pores(yeah yeah I know Hitcher), and leaves a spotless surface. Then apply the rest of the steps. Works a beauty. Used to use this technique when grooming cars for commercials.......
Also when washing your vehicle, be it bike or car. Use two buckets, one with the wash in it and one with clean water. After dipping the cloth in the sudsy one, and then onto the vehicle, before dipping it again, plonk it in the fresh water and give it a squeeze and then back into the sudsy one...... Rinses the grit away from the cloth....:)

Hmm, the T-bird has a less than exemplary respray, possibly by the Mexican I got it from so maybe it just won't look good regardless although just washing it brings it up and it doesn't look streaky then.
FWIW: I find using a wash-n-wax type car shampoo is way better than plain car shampoo, leaves a noticeable gloss on the paint in compariosn.
And: NEVER use dishwashing detergent etc unless you like a dull finish:shit:
But thanks for the advice above guys.
And cheese-cloth NZsarge? - I am an ex-freezing worker AND old-school, hence why I use the cheese-cloth (or in freezing worker speak 'mutton cloth' or 'meat bag'), still got some to use yet.... :niceone:

I can't spell that name either :-)
It does seem to be a reputable brand in the USA though.
My TW Ice was on special at Supercheap. I'm not *that* happy with it and probably wouldn't buy it again. It is certainly easy to use, but the protection (and polish) don't seem anywhere as good as the old TW cream polish that I used to have. It isn't the paint either, that was new when I bought the Ice.
I'll be looking out for the McG next time I need polish.
McJim,
Has your bike been repainted?

i use the mothers 3 step system and cant speak highly enough of it, same deal as Mcguires. give a deep rich surface, no swirls or marks.
and it is long lasting. have a look here www.mothers.co.nz

I find the TW Ice is a good overcoat as such, I still use a cream wax then go over again with the Ice, I find it is the best stuff for plastic's for sure by far, that is a ++! but for a soul wax protection..... nope not for me.

IMHO I think maybe TW-Ice should be treated like a step in a process like the Meguiar's stuff, I see that the have more "ice" products now.
Car wash.
Clay bar.
"Clear" Ice polish.
Ice paste.
By this I mean wash, clay bar, polish with liquid Ice then Ice paste...I dunno, just a thought.
I think in this case though it's going to be hard for a synthetic polish to ultimately compete with Canuba based polish/waxes.
There is no one step polish/wax that is a cure all for all needs.

There is no one step polish/wax that is a cure all for all needs.Better still, is the 227 step, badass muthah fuckah bike wash system. It's only 4 grand, and thats cheap coz it will last 35 years even with the whole whanau using it.
Mind you, you will just be putting the last layer of the 172 layers of ultra-chrome in year 35, and some bastard has quite likely used the last drop of product in bottle Z99 before you got to it, on account that the cheeky cunt skipped the middle 100 steps, so you have to go spend another 4 grand, AND since you took longer than 20 minutes between coats, you will have to start over !
Yeah so this is a pisstake on the multi multi multi step systems of course.. I am persuaded that they do the best job of all, but my life is too short.

ey Scumdog, use Meguiar's on your T-Bird ....most polishes are pretty good these days but I like Meguiar's, they have a range of polishes dependent on the quality of the paintjob and they all do their job first-rate
