Hi,

I have noticed on my Honda Hornet 250 that out of the left muffler it blows hot air, and out of the right cold? Can any one explain this to me?
I find it quite strange.

Stock Hornet 250 zorst system is one can, right? So this is aftermarket? 4->1->2? So if one is cold and the other is hot... they're coming from the same place. Maybe the 1->2 collector (or whatever the reverse of a collector is) isn't doing its job very evenly. Maybe there's an exhaust leak in the cold can somewhere (you say it's so bloody loud you might not be able to hear it).

My bike has twin exhausts coming out of one cylinder. One side was weaker than the other (air pressure against my hand) -- had me stressed out that one valve was ferked. Until I swapped over the exhausts for a good pair and they're now balanced. I think in one of the silencers there was a blockage or something. No performance difference noted, so who knows!

Cheers mate.
Yes it has double cans, air pressure seems the same just the heat like I said ones hot ones cold the zorst ir 4 - 2 - 1 - 2 if you can picture that, have a look at my pic on profile of my bike. Im just hoping theres nothing wrong with it, also this morning one zorst had alot more condensation coming out than the other.

The hot one with more gas coming out of it is probably the easier path for the gas. some twin exhaust cars do this too, and some even have a valve that closes one side at low revs and opens the other once more flow is needed.

Just a guess.
