I would love to say commando, but it just wouldn't be true. Normally just socks, boxers and t shirt for me. I tried my jacket on once with no t shirt and it seemed that it would chaff alot.

I'm always concious of arseing off, and wanting to be a little decent, so wear shorts and a t-shirt in summer or thermals in winter.

I wear normal clothes under my leathers. Once I wore (next to) nothing and we stopped for lunch and it was about 30 degrees and I couldnt take anything off. really uncomfortable. So now it is trackpants and shirt. Alot of the time I will put a jersey over my leathers to keep warm.

Underwear for a start. In the UK winter- tights, jeans, two thin layers and a jumper. In UK summer- jeans, one thin layer and a jumper. And always scarf and wooly socks.

No, my girl friend is. She saw some Rev It 'undies' in WMC and wants me to buy them. I was wondering if they are any good.
Hopefully my gimp suit is arriving today.

Yeah, chaff in your leathers might be very uncomfortable. I'm pretty sure the chaff would chafe your skin.
Going to work, I just wear whatever shirt I'm wearing to work that day. No sweatshirt or whatever, coz I don't need it.
Riding on the open road, I wear a thin merino long-sleeved top. Black, of course.

 crap thats funny...
I wear a bra in summer, (actually I wear one in winter too but thats beside the point) and murphys law determines I wear the oldest uglyest T-shirt I own if we end up stopping in public and a nice top if we dont. Its only a problem if I end up stopping and want to take the jacket off. In winter I wear as much as I can stuff underneath my jacket and the ever popular pantihose under my jeans(no leather legs yet)... and if you dont tell I have even been known to wear a hot wheetie round the place when I am pillioning...

In the summer I wear a 'cool suit' that I picked up in Japan. It's a light mesh material that draws sweat away from your body but traps it from going into your leathers. Absolutely fantastic, makes riding on hot days so much more comfortable. In winter I wear thermals.
bert_is_evil
11th April 2008, 09:55
T shirt and undies in the summer, thermal top and running tights in the winter.
Cajun
11th April 2008, 09:57
i usual wear my yellow board shorts under my yellow leathers.
Then normally a shirt and jumper, if hot i take jumper off, but i hate the cold, so even in summer i often have a jumper under leathers while riding
in winter, and gonna be cold, i wear theminal pants/long sleve shirt, then my shorts, shirt, jumper.

When wearing leather on the road a polyprop underneath or 2 polyprops because they are very thin but warm. Including the legs polyprop for keeping the knees warm.
On the track a Tshirt to absorb the sweat as I dont want the leather to soak it in - ewww yuck sweaty leather!!!
sinned
11th April 2008, 19:38
Icebreaker 260 weight stuff is the ultimate, never too hot or too cold. Polyprop stuff is hard on the skin and chafs - is warm though.

Boxers and thin polyprop shirt in summer. I have one of those zip out thermal liner/ armour inserts so I can say warm when I have to.
The jeans get a bit cold in winter so I'm not above mixing leather and my cordura pants.

Cycle gear for me. Silk in summer and merino's in winter. Bike pants are the greatest. The chamois insert keeps your but comfortable and your breeding gear cool and dry.

A good item for summer is an "Active cool" top made by Altica (available at Kathmandu).
It looks like a lycra top (good for showing off my mono-ab) but diffuses moisture away from the skin to keep temperature down and skin dry.
no t shirt and it seemed that it would chaff alot.
Well, that would help avoiding the police radar traps!

I'm a big one for wearing a pair of knockabout shorts under my pants. Stop somewhere for long in black pants if the sun is out, FOOK i'm glad i've got those shorts underneath  There's a few photo's floating around of me with my pants round my ankles (quite literally). I dont care if i look like a special needs fool walking round with my pants collected on my boots  , you're roasting alive :bleh:
Lightweight (mesh type fabric) footy jersey underneath my jacket. Nice and breathable, ideal.

Always - without exception - my best knickers, a matching bra, and a tight little t-shirt (my BADD tee is perfect). In winter, polyprops (purple and blue stripes, not sexy, but still matching).
On a bike's probably the only time I wear matching underwear. Well, except for a hot date :devil2:
