I have a problem with the lights at the moment. May have had something to do with having broken the indicator a while ago. Probably got some moisture in it before replacing it. Now the headlights aren't working or work intermittently. Seem to come right when it's been dry and warm for a bit, but not always. When the bike is exposed to moisture again (even just a moist night with no rain, even under cover), it's a problem again. Have pulled some of the joiners and loom blocks apart, sprayed them with CRC, as well as the control units on the handle bars. Indicators don't flash properly when the headlights are turned on (even though the headlights aren't working). All bulbs are ok. I'm thinking it's most likely a moisture problem somewhere, but could possibly be a worn wire or loom shorting on the frame or against another wire. Anyone able to help here with some pointers or someone even willing to help out if I bring the bike to you? Any help would be much appreciated. 92 or 94 model. One or the other. Not sure which - nobody seems to be able to tell me for sure :)

Gidday Lee,
You have described the exact same problem I am having. Its precisely as you say.
Id be Interested to hear any further theories on the problem.

A couple of ideas to follow up on .
1) when matters are at their worst connect a jumper battery up and see if theres any change.
2) check all your earth wires are in good nick.
3)check INSIDE the light/indicator switchblock. I suspect youll find a corroded mess in there.

Cheers Frosty. I'll do all that. I just put a new battery in. Generator drive cog was slipping , got that fixed. System is charging and tests good.
The head light goes out when moist, but not always, and stays out till the next day. Sometimes It gives a very slight flicker going over a bump.

Or it could be something really obscure. When Mrs H had lights problems on her Marauder, the problem was the side stand switch. Go figure!
