Check out this video I found by mordeth13 (the Youtube dancing motorcyclist) of traffic conditions in Taiwan

See the lack of safety gear, cheap flimsy open-face helmets, weaving through traffic, changing lanes without indicating... I wonder what KB would be like if NZ traffic was like this!

Where's the bin? I was hoping he'd be the one, wanking on about his cool camera helmet and unjust You Tube ban...

The ban was unjust, and wanking on about his cool camera? Seemed to me like he was suggesting you try two together before forking out the money incase they don't fit. That wanker for giving people suggestions !
This is one of my personal fav's of his vids, and yeah, how he has survived Taiwan for 8+ years on a scoot and bike is insane..

You've never ridden with me, have you.
Rhetorical question.

When I was last there 2 bikes hit the bus between the Airport and the Hilton.
In the centre of town there used to be an exclusive bike lane, but the cars just turn across it.
Personally I wouldn't ride there or Seoul. Taxis are hairy enough.

He actually mentioned an instance of "proper riding" almost getting him splattered, it was a 3 lane roundabout but the locals just treat it as a square, he obeyed the rules going around the roundabout and got clipped by a car going straight, ignoring the lanes.
I'd be scared to walk close to the road let alone ride on it over there ;/

Motorcycle taming 101 is nice and crazy :niceone:
And yes, while Chch traffic is annoying it isn't quite as insane as what you see in that first video

I've found they don't really have any "rules" there, cars just force their way (stick the corner of your car out and someone will yield) and scooters just go around the cars. It seems to work for them, although I wouldn't want to ride on the roads there.
