I used Motorcycle Movers recently going in the other direction - Chch to Auckland, it cost about $500 to shift the bike.

They were good, no problems to report.

I used Biketranz to get a bike from Auckland to Chch. They were extremely slow and did a poor job of keeping me informed but were otherwise okay. They blamed a motorcycle show that was on in Auckland for the long delay and said it wasn't normal (this seems believable).

I found them to have below average communication but the driver was very very very very careful with my bike ti spite it being real rough. I would (and will) use again.

Try giving Pacifica shipping (http://www.pacship.co.nz/page172258.aspx) a call as well if you can get it delivered to the wharf I think they just load it and bring it down, you get to collect it from Lyttelton.

You could also try Kiwi car carriers (http://www.kiwicar.com/contact.html) and get them to ship it down, ok you cant collect it from the wharf so easy but if you choose this latter PM me and I will tell you how to collect it from Lyttelton.
