"Long time listener, first time caller" :corn:
You'd think I'd have learnt, after a sleepy cager pulls out on me at 6:30 AM this morning, screeching my rear tire and ending 6 ft from contact....
Pulled out of the 'mall', carefully 'round the massive 'council flower display' (aka roundabout) in the 'damp' and had to stop a bit too quick for another car :shit:
He might has well have been reading the newspaper, he only noticed when my horn got close to his ear.
The good ole' LX50 falls... no slide, no screech, barely moving, ... then horizontal.. :shit:
The guy stopped for just long enuf to see me park it on the footpath.. and gone....
It's back to the 4 wheels for a while till the insurance and repair work it thru'.
That too is LONG story and NOT KB material :Offtopic:

For the first minute I was more concerned about the traffic from behind.
Turned out no worries with the other traffic, they were 'awake'.
Not moving caused the visor to fog a bit and with my specs on, takes a bit to pop off the lid. So no plate #...
Insurance are sweet,
'hundy bucks' excess,
locked in 'no claims bonus',
Original sales shop/vespa shop managing all the repairs (mirror, front guard, trim, mild chassis paint scrapes to the pillion 'pegs').

Kickchick74 'with the rainbow hat' (with platted 'pigtail ends' ),
Did you ever find the tyre pressures for your Milan?
FYI, the Milan's slightly bigger brother 'Monaco' takes 25Front/30Rear (it is 100kg 125cc) and as Jess suggested 20/25 will do until you find out for sure.

Hey thanks for that, I did check my Milan manual - nothing there to help with tyre pressure! Typical.... Hope your scooter is back in one piece now.
Keep safe on the road!
"Scooter is back"... haaah... what a joke so far...
2 weeks since I dropped it off, and the claim has yet to get to a point for any work to be done...
I might be done just in time for the next Sat coffee meet-up :calm:
I'll have to keep a eye out for any venue relocation due to the weather. :cold:

Yes venue has changed - we'll try Caffe Italia in Berhampore - Adelaide Rd, in the Berhampore shopping centre (such as it is...).

I was more commenting on all the comments in regards to coffee places and the fact they were by scooter riders.

Like I said "context". We know each other in real life and meet up occasionally. What's your problem with coffee? Some of us have busy lives and don't have time to go skiving off out of town. At least we're riding...

wheres your bike skidmark...
I blew it up doing proper riding on a race track.
Sold it as parts and now saving for an 07 r6.
I'm also disqualified because i was out saying fuck the law instead of sitting at a cafe sipping a latte.

I already knew that - I do read other threads on KB ya know.
Next time we meet you can buy me a long black. I don't do lattes. Maybe you can make it to the Cold Kiwi sometime when you finally have a bike again. There's a good cafe in Ohakune. Or the Brass Monkey - I've a hankering to do that trip again. Or perhaps the West Coast? Good coffee there in Hokitika. Dunedin was pretty good too - especially that real steep street I rode up one winter. But it was too hot for coffee in summer in Omarama, even at 11pm.
Or maybe you'd prefer to keep on doing your "proper" riding.

Sigh, why do you always have to bite the hook, it was a passing comment about the stereotype of latte sipping scooter riders. Seeing it's true was a laugh.
I mean c'mon.
It's a scooter.
Anyways enough talking about scooters i have better things to do.
Don't bite next time.
