According to Harley Davidson, sales to women now account for 10% of their total. In recognition of this, the company has included a dedicated section of their website to their female customers.

Sales have grown from just 2% in 1985. Harley Davidson have been looking to diversify from their traditional customer base and have been actively marketing women, which would account for the increase from 8 to 10% of the overall total in the last two years.

Harley-Davidson's communications manager Paul James said women are increasingly drawn to new models like Harley's low-seat Sportster bike because “those models are easier to handle”.

On the seventh day God created the Harley and on the eight He traded it for something lighter and faster. :killingme
