The stitching on my summer leathers was coming apart and now living in Coromandel Town, I’d heard about Blue Moon leathers on the Peninsula so got on the phone this afternoon. The owner, a really neat woman called Lesley; told me to come on over and she’d look at them straight away. Her place is right next door to the Castle Rock winery, so it was a great opportunity for a fang over the Coro Hill.
True to her word, the job was done on the spot. First class work at a very sharp price. Looking round Lesley’s workshop showed her talent. There was a beautiful set of leather saddlebags made for a cruiser and a waterproof jacket made in the style of a denim jacket, only in oilskin – all made from scratch. She also does remedial work for importers Northern Accessories which speaks volumes for her skills.
