Reports in parts of the financial press are suggesting German car manufacturer Volksvagen are looking to add a motorcycle manufacturer to their range.
According to Sueddeutsche Zeitung, Ducati may be a target.

Not necessarily true, VW Group own Lamborghini and no one has moaned about them becoming less Italian because of it, infact Audi have taken Lamborghini from a footnote in the supercar scene into a company that the likes of Ferrari has to be very worried about, the reliability by all account has taken a huge leap foward along with build quality and so on...
Don't under estimate the detemination of the VW Group, if Ducati is for sale and VW want them....they will buy Ducati.
The point is though, if the VW group were to buy Ducati then I would'nt be too concerned about them trying to turn Ducati into BMW motorcycles.

They made the gallardo practical, they used common sense.
It took the heart out of a lamborghini.

As a car...strictly speaking a Gallardo is that far from practical it's not funny.
I know what you're getting at and I disagree to a point, an easier to live with, more reliable and better built car is not taking the heart out of it, Ferrari has had to improve their cars in the same manner too, don't hear people going on how Ferrari's are'nt Ferrari's anymore....they are just better cars, they like other car and motorcycle manufacturer has to move foward or shrivel and die.
I think any new Lamborghini is going to have more than enough "heart" for anyone lucky enough to get to ride in one let alone own one.
Saw an awesome yellow Murcielago in Palmy Nth the other day

Wasn't that a Jeremy Clarkson quote from Top Gear? I'm not sure who else would complain about a car because things no longer fall off or break!

Good shit, I wonder if they can sling together a 4wd one like an R32. Actually, I wonder if it has anything to do with Citroen's affinity with MVA? (http://www.motorcities.com/contents/08/2008-Citroen-C2-1587-Brutale-Edition_08D6D241012946.html)
