Thought I would post this here as I haven't seen any other info.
This is a UK recall from last year, but may be worth while for owners of 2003/2004 Hyosung GT250's to keep an eye on it.

They only started bringing in Hyobags in early 2006, my mate was the first owner of a GT250R in NZ 2005 model.

Meh, doesn't look too bad. You could fix that with some wire and a big hammer easy.

Doesn't look half as dangerous as the problems with the new Aprilia RSVR's...

Looks like that bike's been pushed hard.

Here's the quote for someone that had it happen, doesn't seem like it was to catastrophic. still not something I would like to experience 1/2 way around a corner. :shit:

My swingarm has torn itself apart at the shock mount. My bike had
seemed to be sitting a little lower and I could hear some rubbing when
going over big bumps, so I thought it might be the shock. Instead, it
turns out the mount was ripping out of the arm. I was 40km from home
when I noticed it.

Mate of mine works for a bike mechanic / repairer. He's seen one of these come in and couldnt believe it. The guy reckoned he just went over a curb and the back end dropped right down. :eek5:

Supposedly the build quality issues have been greatly improved since those earlier models, but i just dont know eh...

This is the think a proper allow japbike of the modern day could be ridden averyday for 30 years and this stuff wouldn't happen...

within 8 years every hyosung around now will be scrap.

Meh don't pay attention to him. His so-called reliable Japanese motorcycle shat itself and now all he has is a pile of bits.

At least your supposed `pile-of-junk' Hyosung still goes, even if there's one disqualified rider who doesn't like it

That looked nasty. The amount of corrosion on the inside of the thing would worry anyone with a right mind.
