If a certain individual was to Hypotetically leave his bike running in some area and say went into a post office or a supermarket or a mall , how long would it take for the bike to dissapear. Where would be the safest area (bike will still be there when individual comes back) to leave a bike like that and where would be the worst ?
All Hypothetically speaking...
EDIT. Its all hypothetical coz the person I saw doing it is on KB and we agreed to keep it hypothetical :D

Give or take 5 minutes, for it to be gone
No where is safe if you leave it running
I was no more than 15 metres away from my car (I had the keys), when it was stolen, basically right out from under me. So a running bike, would present a WAY TOO EASY TARGET...

That's mad Toto, he may as well put a hypothetical sign on it saying take me I'm free!
Whats the problem, wont restart,no ignition key?
In England it would be gone before the door stopped swinging after him going into the post office, you might get a few minutes here before a dirty rotten thieving scumbag ,that can ride a bike ,comes across it.
Hypothetically gone man. :crybaby:

Would a Hypotetical Insurance company hypotetically pay if the bike was stolen in that hypotetical way I wonder?

After a thread was posted on a forum about it... ummm... no.
The Insurance Industry has more fraud investigators than the cops (about 10 times the number from memory), and I believe a few of them loiter on KB... you're screwed ... hypo-nothin'.

It dosen't appear as if the hypothetical rider has done everything practicable to prevent a loss... So good luck on the insurance, the hypothetical rider will need it.

LOL true, and the chances of recovery are pretty good too. The thing sits idling till it runs out of fuel... would be theif needs to drive 4 hours+ home to get the trailer... etc
Cheaper to just buy one.
