Well I did today anyhow

About an hour into work this morning whilst working on a bloody Honda TRX300 I dislocated my thumb :shit: Heard & FELT it go
Pulled my hand out from under the body work to see the thumb pointing in a rather bizarre direction, added a few words to the dictionary :brick: and in a moment of red-mist managed to pop it back into place (can't quite decide what was worse it coming out or going back in :o ).
Spent the rest of the day tentatively doing things but it's bloody tender & has swollen up a fair bit with signs of a good bruise working it's way out.

One good thing came of the day though :woohoo: the boss has sent a nice healthy pay rise my way  dunno if it's out of sympathy or making up for one being over due :shifty:

Anyhow remember kids be careful fiddling with your hands in places where you can't actually see them :p

It'll be at least a year before it's back to full strength Bill, take it easy or you'll be back to square one.

First time for me  thought I'd broken the sod when I saw it

It was the right hand, lucky I'm left handed ;)

Wee F@#ker hurt to be honest :sweatdrop glad it went back in, wouldn't have like someone else doing it :bash:

I've heard how the tendons go slack for a bit and once they go it's easy to do again, but at the moment it's twice the size of the other one & stiff so will see what she's like when it settles down :o

I managed to break the small bone leading to the knuckle of my little finger and dislocate the knuckle. Fortunately the local Doc was very kind and gave me a local anaesthetic before "adjusting" it!

I was only 15 at the time...
