Right who is up for it? Forecast isn't great (again) but hell we should be used to it by now. Anyone up for a ride, preferably Sat (Sunday if required)? Late start prefered approx 10 am or later to recover from the night before. North, South whatever. All speeds, just a bike and good company required. :ride:

Have now decided the meeting place and time see later posts. :done:

I will wake up tomorrow see see what the mood the weather is in. Feel like a ride if the weather is good. Feel like heading to Kaiiwi Lake to hassle Jrandom and then doing Waipoua Kauri Forest, but could end up South and join you AK dudes. "Roxanne" is keen to try hunting for TS again (she'd have better luck if her rider was more up to it but:msn-wink: ).

I could be convinced for a sunday ride, have the dreaded family christmas lunch saturday and just riding the bike has put me in most of the bad books, missing the christmas gathering to ride would really finish it off.

:buggerd:
Well looks like i wont be coming again..... bike had a breakdown on the motorway...... and its not looking too good :crybaby: snapped chain... then cracked something of the crankshaft seal has gone...... coz there aint no oil anymore....buit the thing im worried about is the fact there is no pressure with the clutch....

Its a very long way to push a bike from george bolt drive to the farm i work at.....

Up this morning and the weather looks a bit ropey where I am (Henderson). Also I get the feeling that Sunday is the preferred day. So what we need, assuming it is not just hosing it down tomorrow, is a plan. So a route, a time, and a meeting spot. I am not the most knowledgeable of the roads round here so maybe someone can come up with a good suggestion, then we can decide the meeting place and time.

I had problems connecting to the KB server last night, was it just me?

How about a morning time at Autobarn, Papakura?

I am poping out for a few hours. So unless anyone has serious objections

Papakura Autobahn BP. Fill up with BP 98 (apparently good stuff).

Time 0930 leaving at 1000.

Route to be decided before we go, or on the KB site tonight.

Current forecast for tomorrow:
Sunday
Max: 18°C Min: 13°C
(Day) (Night)
Showers becoming less frequent. Cold southwest winds.

This is the best forecast we've had for a while, believe it or not.
If you want to call or text tomorrow: 021 215 8689.

For those who don't know me my name is Fraser and I ride (very badly) a blue 2004 R1. I wear black leather/helmet (yes a bit S and M I know). See you there. :niceone:

Showers becoming less frequent.

That means that the showers will last longer with fewer fine periods.

 Despite the fact that it looked a bit :cold: & wet, we braved the day, meet with Matt & Swanman at AB papakura, I had already ridden down to Pukekawa an hour before and found it dry, so we decided to chance it!

We left AB and did Drury, old GSR ramarama ,,bombay, ridge road to Whangarata and on to 22, road was dry 80% of the way we stopped at Ngaruawhia for gas and fuel, back to huntly via west of the river, @ Huntly Matt did the solo to Rangariri to make an appointment in AKs, :innocent: Frazer and I wandered over to Rotowaro and back to 22 via the back way :shifty: .. From there we detoured down to Mercer and across to H/Way 2 via that nice twisty road, down to Happy Valley onto Hunua and over the hill to Clevedon, from there it was a quick blat around the coast to Maraetai for latte and chips..

At this stage we spilt up Frazer went back via Whitford, I headed back over to hunua, ararimu ramarama and home.. another great day, very little rain, roads were pretty much dry(thanks to gail force winds)

Great to meet you Frazer, and Matt always good to ride with you.. thanks guys.

Thanks for the tour guys. Once the weather cleared there were some very good sections indeed.

Firefight thanks for all your signals etc they were really useful. Good speed in some areas and some great bends too.

For those who didn't turn up because of the rain, mistake! That was a good ride.

Well i suppose you could say it was due to the weather I didn't turn up. Ended up having to go into work as the electrical storm we had early this morning had played havoc on the switches. Had it fixed in about 30mins but would have had no chance of catching up with you guys by that time.

haha.... well I was thinking of coming... I was just too lazy to turn up after riding down the Wanganui on Thursday thru National park and coming back on Friday thur SH3 pass Mt.Edmond

But after cleaning the bike this Avo the weather looked too good to miss. So went for a quick blat out to Maraetai around 5:30

It was interesting to see a well modded 25T Skyline zoomed passed me and I was playing catch up with him, I am glad to see my stock 650 V keeping up with at 25T that has at lease 350 HP.

Warning thou, there is a large large section of new roads just around 1km out of Whitford village on the way to Maraetai. And when I went pass there was a car spun out due to the loose gravel on that down hill section so be careful guys.
