Mr Johnny-no-frwends at the moment :weep: 10am and nary one student has turned up for their assignated rendezvous for tutoring at school!

So, I have a stack of marking next to me, senior fiction to read and make activities and learning assessments on, a room I could re-organise and the minutae of teaching.

And now the sun is coming out from behind a cloud ... taunting me to ride those twisty roads to freedom :(

I feel a ditty, a sonnet, a poem coming on
As I sit here, at my keyboard, all by myself
Doing that solitary teacher's song,
Marking around me, books on the shelf
Where oh where did I go wrong?
Od's Bodkins, should be riding for my mental health!
Students out in the milling holiday throng,
An involuntary curse escapes my mouth!
Never mind, I shall be strong,
For soon, very soon I shall be riding South...

Knowing my luck if I leave now, some students will be bound to turn up and then say to me next term "But Mr.Joe, we were there! And you weren't! Wassup wiv'that teach?"

Well my faith in humanity has been restored, one learner has turned up ... and then in dribs and drabs they do ... all girls ... and most have buggered off to the other English teachers rooms to be with their mates that have come in! :oi-grr:

I'm sure I showered the other week!

Now I have only 1 female student alone ... sigh ... whats the bet you will be reading about me in the papers next week for molestamations of young impressionable learners? :weep:

Good thing there are other crazy teachers on site in the same block as me! :sweatdrop

Cripes, if you come bowling up with your pr0n beard and filthy biker cruisier look, they'll be calling in the Armed Offenders squad!

Helicopters, armoured van, snipers, the lot.

Plus I will have to sign you in and give you a visitors sticker and then make with the explanations ...

And of this moment, all the girls have turned back up! With their friends! :pinch: Must have heard I was molestermating and decided to have their share! :pinch::buggerd:

Damn.

Now I actually have to do some teaching and helping :oi-grr:

Feels like a normal school day, the girls are farfing around and chatting, the boys are trying to surreptiously look at the girls bits :o and only 1 of them is actually doing any work. :girlfight:

Fired up the ol'Beethoven music and lo! They are now getting back to their reading and responding assessment!

Novels, magazine articles, short stories and poems with a dash of autobiographies... all good

And I surfing KB ... and google maps for my interesting ride down South of South side! :innocent:

As his students work their butts off, little do they know, their teacher is surfing the net, he's a convicted biker ho.
A poor student asks a question, and gets told to shut their mouth, how dare they interrupt the planning for this all important trip down south.
The poor students crave some useful learning, but only get to watch their teacher satisfy his motorcycle yearning.
The teacher is just there for a faster internet connection, and to hide his Honda fuelled, whopping big erection.
For a good education, these kids would walk to school through snow, but all they get for a teacher is a dirty biker ho, You know the one, they call him.......GIjoe. :jerry:

They are actually getting into their work now! Poems are being digested and frowned upon, novels are being read and magazine articles perused.

As for me, I got stacks of marking .... meh .... just been reading my usual Dilbert cartoons, 'tardme listings, KB inanities, Wargaming forums and other eclectic flights of fancy that tickles my mind!

Really wish I was out there riding right now.

Riding.

Yes.

Riding.

Aw that sucks you have to go into school in your holidays! I have my planning laid out on the floor, planned the first two weeks of the term so time for a break, a few days break hahaha

Guess that is the good thing about being a primary school teacher, we would never be expected to go in for extra tutorial stuff!

Best job in the world :D

To be honest I am sitting in a house in Meadowbank busting for a ride lol but can't make a decision! Don't want it to be too long and it takes long enough to just get anywhere that's a good ride ie SH16, I wish it was my backyard!!! Hmmm maybe I'll go terrorise the likes of Riddell rd and then see what happens...

lol Justin. Just checked with Pete that he wasn't meant to be there this morning! (He said "no", but then he' probably flip me a pork pie instead of getting his ear blasted for going "oh yeah mum, but I forgot"). :eek5:
I applaude your dedication though. Hope you got a ride in later!

I think even by my standards that is starting to get ridiculous!

2351km on the clock of my Big Ol'Hornet and I've only owned it for 3 days now!

Gonna catch a nap ... and go riding again today! :woohoo:

Hey! :Oi: I highly resemble that remark ... 'tis funny sometimes, I get a cell phone call and people ask ... where are you ... and I reply things like "Tokoroa" "Onewhango" "Kaitaia" etc etc ... silence on the end ...

I think the classic is when I went to Sylvia park shopping mall in Mt Wellington in Auckland to get a magazine... and ended up riding to Cape Reinga by accident! :o

Ranks right up there with "hmmm, its nice this side of Port Waikato, wonder what the weather is like on the Coro side... better go and check it out for myself..."

Or ... "Ok ... at Quasi's ... where do I want to eat dinner ... oh! Wellington!" and then riding back up to Tauranga to visit Colapop and the Toe-rangers crew there!

And then "I wonder if the pizza at that place I ate at Kaitaia is still any good ... I better go and check it out..."

Heaven forbid if they let me on a large continental landmass like USA/Europe/Asia with a motorbike ... I might be gone for some time! :innocent: "Hi, just in Nepal will be scooting over to Dubai then to the Dakar and then off to see the Silk route in China and Russia!" hmmm....
