It was a piece about labour slagging John Key. She made herself look a bit foolish.. but so did the rest of her rabble.

He came out of it looking remarkably dignified..

Well - given the recent experience over in the states with Hillary Clinton getting a positive result in the Pennsylvanian primary after throwing heaps of mud at Barack Obama, and likewise Labour's recent upswing in the polls after the huge mudsling at Key - I would predict there'll be more and more of this.

Labour - the politics of negativity. Let's not actually offer the public anything - we'll just rip into the opposition.

Sadly, it will work. New Zealanders just love to rip into anyone who has a bit more than then. We've been subjected to Labour's elevation of mediocrity to a high art for so long we just accept this as the way things are done.

Let's face it - we deserve her.

So how is the alternative any better? I mean John Key. Does he not make a point of running down the opposition in EXACTLY the same way?

Not that I've noticed.. not that he doesn't do it. I've just not noticed.

Every time I see Queen Helen, she's either commenting on things she shouldn't (electricity cut off, etc) or she's refusing to comment on things she should. I can't think of the last time I saw her do this, but I remember it did get my back up.

What really got on my goat was the way she was all over the death of Ed Hillary! I really wanted to personally reflect and mourn his passing but ferk me, every newspaper article, television piece and radio sound bite her HER in it! So I would shut it off, never did get to reflect appropriately.

No mention of the fact that he didn't have much respect for politics but he really hated her with a passion.

The bitterest pill of all was when the royal family held their "private" memorial service. I turned on to watch it and there SHE was mouthing of in that androgenous whine of hers. ARRRRRGGGHHHHH

Actually, he tends to play the man remarkably rarely (for a politician). He will rip into the policies, but he doesn't tend to have a go at the person as much as Helen and co do.

labour is neither communist or socialist.

as we speak they are trying to enter into partnership with private companies to run auckland roads.

exactly the thing they bleat on about when accusing national of wanting to privatise everything.

Why anyone would even remotely consider voting (again) for these arrogant kindergarteners, I don't know.

labour is neither communist or socialist.....

That is only partially correct. Ian Wishart's book "Absolute Power" documents the evidence that Labour is made up of three core groups: The affiliated Trade unions; The womens Council: or the Gay and Lesbian council.

The trade uniou side was infiltrated by the communists in the late 1970's through to more recent times and may still be happening. Many labour officials have trained in Moscow or in Peru, Helen Clark and Margaret Wilson among them.

The Women's council is straight socialist, having been derived from the Socialist Action League.

So 2/3 of the Labour party makeup is either communist or socialist driven.

Welcome to the People's Republic of New Zealand.

I don't trust policticians at all, but john key is a slimeball.

When are we going to get a real world new zealander running, instead of these "I grew up in a state house, may i kiss your baby" bullshit.

Total bullshit.

Politics and who will do the job best is nothing to do with it.

It's a populatiry contest based on lies and childish behavior.

What??? Are you high?

John Key is the best person to have running the country. Started in a State House, and by his own hard work and brains, made himself a 40 MILLION dollar fortune. Just what this country needs.

And if the bludgers don't like it, they can get fucked. I'm a fan of only people wiht jobs getting the vote.
