View Full Version : Operation: Auckland to Wellington on Bucket

Korea

Hey all,

I've gone ahead and given Mr. Shellracing a deposit on his RG bucket racer.
The only problem is the bucket's in Auckland and I'm in Wellington!

I tried calling the bikemovers but they quoted me some ex-whore-bitant amount and I can't swing it.

So... is anybody travelling in the direction of Wellington from Auckland anytime over the next few weeks?

Someone suggested that KB racers coming down from Auckland might be able to meet the Welly racers coming up for the Taupo round of the VMCC races and maybe do the swap?

I can contribute dolleros towards fuel costs and will provide the obligatory brews for your efforts. :drinknsin

Let me know here if you might be able to help out.

Cheers all~

Yah-ha-a, this puppy is a gunna - (gunna blow up). Besides, without reg, warrant, vin, indicators, lights... It'll be 5 seconds out of Auckland before I'm subjected to the roadside rubber glove treatment from the plod.

NEXT~!

Just ride it you girl.

Years ago it was tried a few times to get to the Ohakea GP. Rob Henry even tried it on a honda CB/CG125 sidecar, with passenger. I think he only made it to Te Kuiti or somewhere round there before it blew up. It was at night and they used a torch for a light whenever they came across cars.

Hey all,

Still looking to sponsor someone to help get a bucket racer down from Auckland to Wellington~

If we can't rustle up anyone on KB, I'll have to pay the bike movers - I'd much rather support a KBer's racing habit.

Is anyone from Auckland going down to race at Taupo in May?

With a bit of coordination, a Wellington racer going up should be able to do the swap and bring that bucket home~

Shelracing - the seller - has offered to drop the bucket off in the Auckland area.

Anyone?

um, er, I'll have 2 bikes going up & Speedpro's old one on the return as well for GP 18 May. Fitting a 4th one in would be a real mission with the other stuff I want to cart. Depends how desperate you get.

Qualman1234, you are both a legend and a gentleman - thank you very much for the offer. Will definitely take you up on the offer if still no joy by the end of this month~

F5dave ~ I'll flick you a PM to see if whether we can shoehorn something in or not.
