Well, I finally got my *cough*car*cough* learners licence today!
And my RD50 is all back together (except for some minor adjustments that will be done on sunday) so expect to see me riding around the streets of Christchurch in the coming weeks! :scooter:
Just thought I'd share the joy :2thumbsup
Excuse the irony of the scooter icon, I swear it's a motorbike!

this place is not always as nice as this
most times its worse!
Good to see you starting out on a little bike, wont be long and we will convince you to get your bike licence, then join the mottley crew on some Ralleys
you will love it
Im sure it will not take long for somebody to offer you a lift on a good ride
Plenty of girls on here to chin wag with and get to know.
Like your ride too, clean and tidy

Sweet glad you can sew- they're nice & comfy for hot days.
Rik had a few bourbons for pain relief & is doing fine just trying to use it as an excuse not to do stuff around the house:rolleyes:

Hey there Joliet. My mate Mike had an RD50 when I was 16. He rode it to school every day and I was so jealous. It got me interested in bikes and made me determined to get one of my own ( much to my Dads delight and my Mums horror ). Hope you enjoy it! Even though you can ride them on a car learners i would still look at doing a bike BHS course as you learn some valuable skills that will help you stay safe on the road. Good luck!

Awesome :) she's probably going to get a lot of attention because I'll be taking her to Polytech every day so hopefully it'll get a few more people into biking.
Yeah I'm looking into taking a basic handling lesson or course of some sort because like you say, it'll teach me some valuable skills.

Yup! And the sooner you start on getting your bike licence, the sooner you'll be able to upgrade to an RD125, or 250!:sunny:

Thats definitely the plan. I'm really falling for my wee Yamaha .. It'll be nice to upgrade to the bigger models of the same bike :)

Yeah, it's definitely one for the "cool wall", for sure. I'd tend to keep it when you do upgrade...

Yeah hopefully I'll be able to keep it, though I may need the revenue before can actually upgrade (poor student) but yes, would be nice if I could keep her for a while :)
