I have a 400 Bros and have done 65,000k on mine. Been everywhere from Lewis Pass to Kawhia and everywhere in between. This year though Jeff changed my handlebars and put risers on it and ordinary handlebars and I find it a much better riding position than the original low bars. I used to get numb hands from leaning forward.

Never had any problems with the Bros. We have three of them, my 400 and two 650s and a spare parts bike, and they all have the higher bars on now.

and if it makes your girlfriend feel any better about moving up to a 400, you can tell her I am a nana (a real one!).
