Hi All,
Well I've had the Buell for about 7 months now and have been loving it. The thing is that 90% of my (our) riding is two up and even with the touring pillion seat the Buell isn't great.
So I am thinking of selling it and getting something more practical for two up riding.
I am probably going to take the following bikes for a ride:
Ducati Multistrada
Ducati st3/st4s
Buell Ullyses
I suppose I am leaning towards the sports side of sports/tourer.
Has anybody ridden the st3 and the st4s? Is one preferable to the other?
Any other suggestions.
Cheers :-)

sounds like myou might be leaning towards the non-jappas but for what its worth you could consider a Blackbird, VFR800 or FZ1 and i'ved heard good things about the Aprilia Futura RST too

I recently changed from an SV650 to a 07 DUC ST3. What I got was great handling, the DUC just sits on the line and sucks up the bumps. It's not an arm ripping-off monster, but more than enough torque and HP for me.
Downside was the standard ECU. It was a closed loop system and mapped real lean which caused low speed hesitation. Good news was the dealer upgraded me to DP ECU which smoothed out the low speed and I'm thinking added some HP, good on ya Casbolts. End result is a near perfect machine for both commuting and longer weekend rides. For me the ideal Sports Tourer.

Well I will add a vote for a Duc, the ST3 is a beaut bike, and there seems to be a few on the second hand market (where I got mine) that are optioned well, ok they maybe ex Japan but with all the luggage accessory's you fitted you can get some good buys.
Depends on your budget I suppose, and after you have test ridden a few what fits you.

In my humble opinion you would hard pressed to beat the Bandit (bang for buck) if you want a two up tourer. Never had a complaint from my pillion. Tried a ST4 and (for me) just didn't do it. The new Triumph Sprint however is a different story. Just loved the test ride.

Thanks for all the replies. I had thought I might stay with the V-Twins, but every seems to love the Bandit so maybe I should take one for a ride :-). Any one tried ST4 vs ST3? Should I be looking at the ST3S - the lure of Ohlins susp :-)
Cheers n.
