any of you n00bs like riding on the gravel in the wet?
i just did a loop of pironghia in the wet, its fucking fun, aint done it properly in a year when i had the DR650/NXR125.
no dust, more grip, and less visibility, what more could you want?

more revvy, less torque, lighter, better susp, a bit loose with the road tires, but not too bad, the 650 was a big saggy tractor compared to the DRZ

Yes wet gravel (under most circumstances) gives you a lot more grip.
The only time you really have to watch it is after heavy or constant rain and you get the soft patches in the middle of the road (the bits that cut up), they can catch you out, but you can see the different colour of the surface

I like riding in the rain on the gravel, I just don't like riding to the gravel in the wet

good for a bit of winter riding then...
the "few" have done a fair bit of gravel work in the wet, it was more like a ametur speedway race...

Note to self "Keep clear of the waikato or be shown up by yet another bunch of fast youg guys".
I'm running out of places to ride.....

Glad you're enjoying it Carver, it's always better after a bit of rain, just when it becomes a river it loses it's fascination for me.

Wetting down a speedway track is not just to keep the dust down,it gives more traction.
