New BMW F650 GS

Has anybody heard about the new BMW F650 GS?

Looks like new plastics, frame and lighting but is it the same engine or have there been some improvements?

Any news of an NZ arrival date/price?

Any verdicts or opinions?

Only thing in common with previous F650 GS is the name...
it is not even a 650 cc anymore but a 800 cc parallel twin with 71 hp....:buggerd:

Supposed to come in NZ lateron this year.....
Mind you there are not that many BMW dealers left in NZ.......:(

Already one here in Chch at Canterbury Rides. Advertised on Tardme (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Motorbikes/Motorbikes/Dual-purpose/auction-151833169.htm). $16,263 (? weird price).

I was taking a peek through the glass at that one at Canterbury rides on Friday, looks great. Pity they weren't open, I would certainly have been putting on my serious buyer act to get a test ride.

Had a sit on one about two weeks ago, at Mount M/C's. Nice, but I can't quite see the point in building a detuned 800. The F800GS is due in November.
