I have seen in a couple of magazines, as well as a post on kb from Hunter Motorcycles AU, advertisements about the 250cc full size Spyder Chopper that has been designed by 'Johnny Pag' in the states and manufactured in China.

They have a number of different 'brand' names given to them eg the Hunter Spyder 250 Chopper in Oz and here in NZ are distributed by 250choppers in Tauranga.

I recently got to see one up close and heard that once started she had a rather nice growl to her... I was however unable to take her for a ride.

Has anyone had any experience with these machines?

Even with them being manufactured in China are they any good?

Any help would be much appreciated......

Yeah - I read that thread. That was rather weird to come straight out and dismiss any and all Jap distributers....

They are crap, I've seen them at a local shop where I am.

I've done the lot on them. The fittings at cheap looking, they far from growl (although they claimed you could take out the baffles but they had no idea how lol)

I'd give points for the paint work and first appearance on the chroming but who knows the quality of the chromed metal on them over time!?

And it WAS comfortable.

But for the price tag no way - but then again I am also someone who likes to ride their bike everywhere so if you are more a for show rider then yeah ok probably would suit you. But for everyday riding (excluding the fact it's a chopper) its crap.

At the very least buy the custom spyder chopper with the 650cc inline 4 engine thats on TM if you want one!

Just to let you in on a little bit of advice from when i was in China.
Choppers are either Chinese made harley or chinese made Suzuki.
Everything else coming out of china in the chopper market was consider POS there.

Any more details? Or any other 250s to compare to? I probably just want to feel satisfied with my purchase more than anything, haha.
