LOL meh....

Two differences between zxr250 a and c forks...the c have a compression adjustment on one fork leg below the brake caliper. the a model doesn't have this...and also the mounting for the mudguard is different.

the upper part is all the same.

Skid.

It's not....

I looked into it quite a while back when I had my ZXR. You can buy third-party replacements from AUS (don't remember where sorry, they did rearsets as well though) but they were around the $700 price range, plus shipping)

You'd be better off to pull them apart yourself and get them re-chromed. I'm sure someone here on KB can point you to a good electro-plater.

Gidday Vacarious,
The part #'s for the steering head bearing are the same between the two models so with that in mind if your able to get a complete front end (with top & bottom triple clamps) it should be a straight forward swap over....

Things you'll need to take into consideration will be the ride height of the new front end & possibly the fitment of the front guard

If you are only purchasing the legs measure the O.D (Outside Diameter) of your old forks against the "C" models to see if they are the same - thus enabling you to fit the "C" forks into the "A" triple clamps

Inner fork legs are around $690.00 each retail 44013-1303-CE (LH) 44013-1304-CE (RH)

Fork bushes are around $37.00 each retail 44065-1095 (Upper) 44065-1086 (Lower). You need one each upper & lower per leg...

Fork seals are around $17.00 each retail 92049-1347
Fork wipers (Dust Seals) are around $22.00 each retail 92093-1359

In as far as having yours re hard chromed Otahuhu Electroplaters are well worth a call - don't expect them to be done overnight & expect to pay around $500 ~ 550 each leg to have them repaired, that is of course if they are worth repairing...

Cheers
