Now that the tourist season is over I would like to offer you guys the chance to bring the kids or the wife or your mistress for a Muddy Good Time!
Riding has been busy over the summer with one or sometimes two Gold Discovery Tours each weekend and some mid week blasts for overseas tourists too! Over The Top Adventures now has 9 rental bikes and Two 4x4 people movers to get you between riding areas- so no licence required! Many of our riding areas are unavailable to the general public and offer coast to coast views and some really cool mining and logging relics like steam engines and huge crushers.
The chance to explore abandoned mines and even ride your bike underground is not to be missed!
Why dont you put a group together over the winter and come for a play?
1/2 days we ride at one location near Waihi with loads of variety, awesome views and lots of gold mining heritage.
The full day gives you a full 8 hours of Enduro style riding. we ride the Neavesville Track, Maratoto Track and Waitekauri Gold Fields. We have lunch at an award winning winery in the Karangahake Gorge and a quick look around the ruins close by. Ill bring you back to Waihi just on dark. Our photographer will provide you with a CD of photos of your entire adventure at no extra charge.
AND HERE IS THE BEST BIT...... If you bring 3 mates, your ride is free!
your bike hire, your lunch, your beers, your snacks, your photos. You will be treated like royalty...... Ill even pull your bike out of the bogs myself!
Of course you are welcome to bring your own bike and gear but we have all the gear here to fit out whoever you bring with you.
Im going to throw some photos up now but my Dial up is a bit slow so if you have any questions fire away!

EXCELLENT IDEA CHEESE!
Im limited by DOC to 10 riders at a time in one heritage area, and honestly - groups bigger than that get a bit hard to shepard underground! And lunch too is easier and quicker with a small group.
Usual prices for own bikes is $90 for the half day and $250 for the full day. I can do a KB deal still with all the trimmings for $70 1/2 day or $180 full day.
Im happy to put on as many rides as required but will have to be groups of less than 10.
The riding on the peninsula gets pretty gnarly in the winter so it would be real
blokes only unless it gets 4 or 5 days to dry out.
If you guys sort yourselves into groups of between 4 and 10 then contact me at stuart@overthetopadventures.co.nz then I can send all the guff to your group with entryforms and further info.

Geez Cave Weta - I've been on the floor in stitches at those photo's for the last half hour - awesome stuff - the guy in the top photo is the best thing i've seen for a long time - and check out that poor expansion chamber !!!!!!!! and the rear shot (literally) of the guy( i hope !!) on the quad - priceless - is he trying to start it or is he farting !
Anyway - just to clarify, so far i've got me ( will use opportunity to have a go on one of your KTM's) the mrs (who's inspired by the german lass)and two mates who've been banging on about getting back into biking for ages interested - so all the trimmings etc with gear for half a day - how much will that cost ( forgive me if it's on this thread somewhere but i can't get past the photo of that poor f******r face down)

Hi Al
the cost per person for 1/2 a day will be $70 plus the cost of each hire bike which varies from $60 - $120 depending on what you want to ride.
Two of the bikes on my internet site have gone recently - the 650 Suzuki-( nobody ever rode it.) And the KTM250exce- my sweep loved it so much he bought it! I now have 4 more of those awesome little Chinese bikes (dont laugh!) they are bloody brilliant. and are just perfect for the average size, average ability person who needs to hire a bike. If you want a laugh- go onto Trademe and search 'cavallo' under dirt bikes and have a look at the photos of idiots that hire them off me!!! I have had no problems with any of them.

The $90 1/2 day- originally I was offering bring 3 mates at that price and you get a free ride. 90x3=270 divide by 4 = $67.50
Then you guys asked for a set price per person:
$70 each
you are then doing this: 70x3=210 divide by 4 = $52.50

hey pal sounds like a good deal. Tell me more about these bikes. Had any probs with the chinese bikes? I'm thinking of either a cheap chinese or old xr.
I know what people are like with vehicles they've never owned - I had a Lada Niva once - most fun I've ever had & although not super comfy did every thing I needed it to do. And dont worry I have heard all the lada jokes but only one made me laugh out loud.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=153934471 have a look here - good photos and it tells you about these bikes- only two complaints: delivery has to wait till we can fill a container each time - some times two months or more!

Well- weathers gettin pooier! so unless it drys out a bit it will be a no novices ride cos of the slick clay and possibly swollen streams. Trip may be rescheduled at last minute!
assuming you are happy with my usual accomodations at $50per night. Then it will be $270 p/p per day plus $50p/p per night. you decide if you want extra nights before and after. I have rental bikes for 6 adults and 2 Hobbits
Not included- is breakfast and dinner. plenty of choices here (both accomodation providers have full kitchens for self catering. )
