Hey falks I was thinking, is it possible someone like Quassimoto or someone else who deals with making or importing Leather lotorcycle gear to organise with SpankMe and create a KB leather Jacket.
I have seen all the other merchandise like t-shirts caps, patches ets, but surely we can come up with a leather jacket.
Just to make it more informative for the falks who would be keen to create such a jacket, I'm attaching a poll to this thread. Would you buy a KB leather jacket or not ?
I would be keen to be the first customer
Thinking about KB patches on both shoulders and an extra BIG oversized KB logo on the back with KiwiBiker written on it or something. Ideas welcome and if someone can come up with a cool photoshop design I'm sure we will all be interested in seeing it.
Here ya go, let the idea flow begin :)
edit: Probably I should have posted this in general bike ravings as it would get more views, mods up to you to relocate if you think it would be better there

I think it would be okay, i dont think it needs the giant KB logo over the back it's a bit poser, most just stick to a patch / sticker on bike.
Lets face it the yellow logo etc doesnt suit many bikes.

well there can be a couple of colours, maybe white logo on black leather or grey logo. Yellow can be original one and there can be one or two more colours. i would be very keen on the yellow logo tho.

Well if you talk to quasimoto he can at the least make you a one off piece designed however you want.

yea , it will be interetsing to see what he thinks.I was gonna Pm him but I taugh it would be good to see public opinion aswell. Surely you can get a green one to match your Kawaka Mark.

Hmmm, i don't know whats more disturbing, that you spent the time to draw that, or the fact it reminds me of scumdog...

Yep, something that only KBers would notice and not too in your face would be good.

It'd be better if you were wearing one of those KB jackets. I could take you soooo much more seriously!

would there be an initiation, or any criteria to meet before one could wear the jacket?
Dont worry mate, you're already pre-approved.

Easy as, we can do that with our eyes shut, but I can see issues with getting it off the ground though, mostly to do with price and quality, how much are KBrs willing to spend ? I mean I can make a really good quality jacket but will that be affordable to most ? and what would the design be, who decides?
I will of course do it at cost so spank can make a margin for the site.
I reckon buy a QUASiMOTO jacket and I will stitch a logo (purchased from Spank) on it for you lol.
maybe a casual jacket would be better ?
dunno but Im all ears!!

Yup - you have to be able to ride 250k around 40k corners and be the fastest thing on two wheels with plan to give Rossi the learn next time he's in the country...
... which only rules out about 5% of KB...

Yes, but only if you can do it with your knee down. That's another 1% gone.

I would be interested, however do not like the idea of a massive logo on the back!! Bit OTT if you ask me.
Say a patch on each shoulder/arm and maybe just the words "Kiwibiker.co.nz" on the back.

Nice idea, I love my KB T shirt it is really great quality and looks good, but as far as leather goes, nothing replaces my Hein Gerike Jacket except perhaps a bigger one..sorry

Why not just buy the leather jacket of your choosing then order a KB patch from Spank and sew it on?

The mind boggles! Maybe rm's cape idea might be better, as long as there wasn't a huge gust of wind coming from the front..... Or should we make it cape or jacket option? Could work in quite nicely in the next gay parade what with all the Village People lookalikes and superheroes.

Exactly what I was thinking, I imagine it would be quite hard to find enough people who fitted the same type of jacket to get some made... but do find out because you never know if you don't ask! There might well be enough interest
(me, I'm after leather, but not a man's jacket ;))

Sorry, I wouldn't buy one at any price because I would never wear it.

Why not buy a goddamn patch.
Spank has items already set up for manufacture to support the site, no need to make things any more complicated than they are.
Though a Quasi leather vest to which a purchased patch could be applied, would be mildly appealing for the crusier riders I would imagine... (and them sprotsbikers in denial of their crusier leanings...)

You cannot wear a patch in Wanganui. Michael Laws our mayor has banned the wearing of patches. bbwaaaaaa!! It's not fare, he's always ruining something,.

doesnt and wont stop me. mickey mouse laws is nothing but a mascara wearing tosspot. my denim vest has a bandana sewn on the back that, at a glance, may well look like a patch. that same vest also sports memorial patches, and another leather has patches brought back from canada.

Probably a good time to point out the official KB patch is a small sensible square that needs to be seen up close to be read properly... we're not talking some dirty great big eyesore of material here...

The way I read the bye law is that all patches are banned in the City. I don't know whether or not the police are prosecuting or not. I haven't seen any in the paper to say they are. The gangs just take of the patch and leave em in the car. With a rather large ferocious Rotti to look after them whilst the lads get pissed.
It's a bit of a nothing law. But at Least Mayor Laws has done something about the problem. Out of sight out of mind I guess.
Yes we have gangs here in Wangavagus like all small towns and cities. Throughout this great nation of proud Kiwi's. We have BP & MM problems from time to time. There are skirmishes between the two gangs. resulting in a little girl getting shot and killed last year as I recall.

I thought it was a big no-no for patch members to take off their patches at the request of someone else or is that an urban myth?
