REally? I thought it would be too small!

Teava
1st May 2008, 11:01
I thought Supercross tracks were suposed to be big!
So if they run it at Vector it would be a Arenacross, the start
straight would be like 15M long LOL

Ive seen the one they run at the Melbourne tennis centre. That was small but close and exciting racing

come on Troy, you know more than you are letting on,

weekend of the 13 of july (tarawera 100 weekend dam it)

will be a supercross and free style show, with bmx dirt jumping as well, top aussie / kiwi free stylers and mxers being signed up now,

will be tight racing, 8 gate start, lots of bar banging on a tight track,
the arena is bigger than you think,

Pukekohe MCC will be running the racing,

Bugger.

I plan on finishing first place in T100, should take about an hour then shoot back up here. Quick tire change and into it.

KLX300 doing no footers at the Vecter. You can borrow my Helicopter to get you back faster if you wish. That way you can have time to change your air filter.

Nice one KTMBoy, but I think I've already had a ride in that chopper. Is it the one that has Wespac Resue written on it?
I've been sprung! Thanks for reminding me. yes forgot that I'm still on the KLX300. I'll have to source a bikini fairing for it, should cut an extra 5 mins off T100 time. This will allow ample for bumping up preload for my No-Footers. No-Brainer really. problem solved. Cheers dude!

BTW I actually run without an airfilter for more power. I never miss my seat grabs either, with all that free space under there. Thanks for the tip Pierce. Dropping that trans oil will give a good weight reduction.

Great, now we have Rhino and Mule racing. Will they be coming to Vecter as well?
Congrats to Branden on the weekend:clap:. Will the juniors be doing the Supercross as well(on bikes).

obviously you didn't go to the mystery creek supercross 2000. They have big fans pumping the air out. Shouldn't be too much of a problem now that 80% of the bikes are four strokers.

Awesome news PMCC, i'll be there for sure (i remember mentioning about a supercross at vector arena in the manukau supercross posts). Need any help, just pm me.

Allright, another supercross

Should be cool, if only this was the teaser before we went to the SX final in the states but will still be cool. Anything involving dirt bikes and or racing is enough to get me off the couch haha or on it if it's on tv

tickets are now on sale. Ticketmaster website shows it is for one night, although i'm sure the tv advert says two nights. If it is two nights, anyone figured out which night the supercross will be on??

So does that mean the racing will come down to finals in night two??
Sorry, just trying to figure out which night to go to

scott411
25th May 2008, 17:54
basically going to be two 1 day events, no points between them,

going ot be more like the us series than normal nz supercross series, one final a night and the qualifiers will be part of the show,

each class will have 2 heats, top 3 out of each heat qualify for the final, then one lcq with the top 2 making the 8 rider final,

So whats the draw card for each night? If both nights are the same aren't you just splitting the crowd?

not so much a flop, i just really want these events to do well and pull decent crowds.
bigger crowds = more interest from sponsors in the future = more events for people like me to get along to = better for the sport.

so many empty seats at the manukau SX. heaps of people that i talked to after the event did not even know that it had happened...................

I also felt Jesse Wiki rode very well too.

Robbie Marshell is from Queensland, great rider, rode freestyle and both classes, he rides mostly freestyle in aussie and the queensland championships,

i thought Jesse Rode Well as well, Hurley proved his class tho,

i think the 85 racing was awesome, Dale Fear, Haki Waller, Royden White and Brandon Tipene were great, Dale pulled hte trigger with the block pass when he needed to, it was a great race, and all the families and boys all are freinds and have respect for each other, they are going to race together for a long time, and it will be good to watch,

big thanks to all the guys and that helped me out, 25 members of the pukekohe club helped out on the night,

That dude should be focusing solely on mx/sx, it seemed to me he was riding as quickly and smoothly as Hurles was.

Thanks to the organisers and Scotty and the crew from the Puke club for putting on a memorable weekend. Our friends from Aussie Dale fear (85cc winner) just thought the weekend was awesome. Also looking after Metzger for the whole weekend was just awesome for the kids. I cant say anything more about how awesome of a guy Metz was. Just for the record i block passed him at Siverdale kart track today and took the chequered flag:woohoo:

Yep that is the benefit of being indoors if only we had a bigger stadium.

It was very loud, the ears were still ringing a few hours later.

racing for the finals was not really that great, 450 final was pretty close between 1st and 2nd, tehn 3rd 4th and 5th was pretty close,

most the guys that made the final were trippling early on, that video must be near the end of hte 250 final,
