Yep... that about sums it up

Your bike needs a current W.O.F & reg (it will go through a basic tech inspection before you can race) if you think it's capable of running under 10 seconds then you need to be wearing full leathers...

Just out of curiosity.

Whats the fastest 4 stroke 250 any one has seen that isn't turbo ect?
And, would any one no what my hornet would do?? I've taken a car down but wouldn't mind seing my reaction time on my bike.

Plus the $15 to enter through the gate regardless if your racing or spectating and then your racing.....provided your bike has a current WOF and rego and it passes scrutineering (as long as you have a wof you shouldnt fail, unless your tyres are fu@#ed or something like that)

Oh and make sure you have gloves....you would be suprised the amount of people that turn up without them!! 100+mph and asphalt surfing = sore hands.

I have two rear wheels, one with my brand knew GPR-10 on it and the other with an old battlax that it not warrentable in the middle. Kinda wanna use the battlax... do you think they would mind?

I could just put my warrentable one on then swap them once im in....

Wheeliemonsta

No it doesn't, its just the class the bike will be running in...

Might pay to ring the "Powers That Be" as Mugins has suggested to make sure the bike can actually be run on the day...

There is no comp bike or modified bike divisions at the winter drag wars unfortunately.

The whole day is DYO (dial your own) racing or grudge racing if you just wanna race against a couple of your mates all day.

There is the occasional comp car that comes down for the winter meets so i suggest you ring the track manager Scott Campbell on 0274944775 to see if you can bring a race bike.

The weather forecast is looking pretty good for Sunday.

Had a barrel of fun on Sunday.

Mike (Muggins) is the Man!! 10.4something on a slippery track riding the Bus and not far behind that time on the Gixer.
In the DYO he came first and 4th or 5th not quite sure yet as the end of the day was a bit rushed with having a couple of showers, Mike looked funny as fuck jumping from bike to bike, at one stage I thought he would be facing himself in the finals….

Got a 11.00 with .500odd reaction time myself, could not get into the 10s,
I got better reaction times during the meet (As I sobered up from my 3 am session)
But the track got slipperier during the day.
I struggled at the start to get traction (not doing burnouts on my $380.00 Road tyre and it is 250km home) but once it did find some traction things started screaming and if I wasn’t spinning in 3rd over the finish line I was doing about 215ks without hitting the rev limiter.
But I got 3 more gears to use so am now looking for a spear rear wheel for the R1 so I can put a big arsed sprocket on and a trye I can destroy each meet.

Let me know if there is one about, I looked on Trade Me but nothing there just now.

Where do you find the photos?

I always look in my camera first, but since I did not take it on Sunday,

Visit here http://www.dragpixs.co.nz/index.shtml

Just email the dude with your details i.e. race number.

I might buy one photo off him at

A4 210mmX 297mm Cost $ 20.00 Delivery $ 9.00

Would rather give the Guy $50.00 for them all in digital format and do what I like with them, I believe he would sell shitloads more if he did that and no postage costs.

Just thought i'd leave a comment since i raced on the 25th........

Rider of Purple and black suzuki rgv150.....

All in all was a good day(good weather helped).....

Got to do 12 runs even tho i got knocked out of dyo in the first round(just did grudge from then on).........which was al g.

After 3 meetings(nightspeed etc.) i finally ran a 15 sec pass on the rgv150.....
15.995@127kmh.........

Also got to have a go on another guys bike ZXR250... never ridden one before... and still did a 14.37@143kmh....... not bad for a 4stroke 250.

On the right track with the right rider, probably.

Me personally, I got no clue about drag racing, so I wouldn't back anything with me on it.

Edit: Greenie's the ER-6n, right?

Edit edit: I bet the ER-6 would be way easier to launch on a very slippery strip, too.

Gday there, on the drag war website it states that the last round was rained out and the points are now final. Does anyone have a clue if they will still be doing a fuck around session this Sunday? I've been told word by mouth there is, altho there's no confirmation on the website.

Cheers

FCK ME ! ! !

Why have I been red rep and abused for this Post ? ? ? ?

What is wrong with this place ??

Crazy Steve..

Because it was not "Politically Correct"

You should be more interested in the taking part not the winning.

By pointing out that you surpassed Stify by .2 second you could have caused irreprable harm to his self esteme.

By your thoughtless act and then by having the temerity of posting it for others to see you have damaged Stify. Damage that can only be over come by hugging lots of trees and countless sessions of neddlepoint.

Discussions ranging from "and how do you feel about..." to "were you abused as a child..." are all that can save said Stify from a complete breakdown.

Surely we should find the appropriate act of parliament and get Stify suubsidised during this hurtful period of self doubt

That would be the summer series. :Punk::sunny: Usually a bit more intense and alot more cars, can't push in quiet like you can in the winter series.

From web site:
Night Speed Drag Wars Meetings

Provisionally scheduled for say 20 events, every Friday from start of daylight saving through to end of daylight saving... first meeting early October. Formats and dates to be confirmed, but as a result of a meeting held to discuss availability of workers to run additional meetings etc ... things look very good!
