Ouchie! Not fun for him.
Still, a couple of Chupa chups and he'll be fine.

Interesting way to ride his bike, awesome photo too.
Pitty about that he's a bloody good rider, best thing thats happened to Yamaha since Rossi joined them. Hope he's all go for the weekend.

This one might just see the Bridgestones coming to the fore Bill ?
As usual my bet is for Rossi . Hopefully grip will be consistant for him, not like the last two races.
Your boy Stoner should be up front too , lets hope for dry and a good fight.
Gaz.
ps Crasher, you feeling confident in your Austruckinfailian ??

Absofuckinglutely. I'm sure you'll agree the last two rounds were a tad unlucky for him. That's racing as you know...he'll be there with bells on.
Form is temporary, class is permanent.

Form is temporary, class is permanent.
True that, look at Nicky Hayden - had some temporary form in 2006, and that's it.

I don't quite agree with ya there. While he's struggling with the 800's, I think if they'd stayed with the thous, he'd be there or thereabouts I reckon.
Mind you...I guess the 'real' good ones adapt better than the rest.

To be honest. I dunno what's gonna happen - but I'll enjoy watching it happen :2thumbsup :2thumbsup
And the video:
Interesting.
Looks like the front end came unstuck/got a bit of air as he flicked from right to left, then must've landed pointing right a bit too much, tipping the bike suddenly to the left, the correction then causing the highside?
Lucky he got off with no serious injuries.

He won't be putting any weight on those knees for while. D'oh.
Well he did pretty damn well to qualify 4th!! Will be a different story for the race tomorrow though I suspect. Although if it does rain (as forecast) then it may favor him slightly.
How about edwards getting pole! Didn't see that one coming. He'll be on for another solid 5th place hehe.

To my uneducamated racing mind, it appears that he changed his weight and threw his arse over the LHS of the bike a bit early after the previous corner (about 51secs), causing it to slightly lose balance. After that, it was all on.:pinch:

Just thinking out loud Gaz.
Last year it was said that the Ducati was just soooo much better than the rest. Look at the grid for this arvo. See how far back the rest of the Ducati boys are.
I really thought Stoner could have been knocked off his perch by his new team mate this year.
I, along with a few others thought Stoner only looked good against Capo because Capo was past it.
Not so again, look where he is.
And what about the Tornado??? On Michelins.:rolleyes:
Well as I said - I will enjoy watching, what ever happens. Sure you will too.
Cheers
Bill

I've a new found respect for the Chupa Chup sucking Spaniard.
Watching QP and seeing him stuck on the bike (couldn't dismount without aid), having the bike try to buck him off again (find the vid someone, I think the front comes up crossed ) and still qualifying 4th?! How hard? Pretty damn hard.
Another more entertaining moment was Hayden trying to bump start the Repsol after having a bit of a lie down with it. When that wasn't happening, he put on the mad 1500m run around the circuit - in his leathers  ; only 15mins or so left in QP you see...
It'll be a mad race, especially if the rain stays. Moley or Elias for the win! :second:

Is there a video of Lorenzo's qualifying save yet? Just read about it, crikey, he apparently had to put his foot down to save another one, too. That boy is riding with some serious painkillers tomorrow, I reckon.
Cheers

The last time our favourite redneck Texan got a pole position AND it was a wet race day - Le Mans last year (where I will be in a couple of weeks BTW :Pokey:) , I remember him going from 1st to nearly last by the end of the first lap.
I think it's CE III's curse for snatching that 2002 WSB title from Troy Bayliss!
Interestingly enough, a young Australian fellow with a distinctive mole won that race...
Ain't gonna happen.
Yeah that seems to be the problem with Colin, even if he qualifies well he seems to stuff up the race. He had some good form in superbikes but has never quite done it in MotoGP - i was just hoping for him like, it would be nice to see him do well before he retires some time.

This is going to b a great race!
The 125 and 250's should be good (as per usual) to watch too. :niceone:
That was some classy riding for everyone, poor Colin, I was torn between who I wanted to see win that, on the one hand I wanted Vale to come back on song and take it out then on the other hand I had a wish for Colin to finally win a race... oh wells.
Was good racing anyway.
Jorge....wow, I can't quite imagine having to bump start a 800 myself let alone do it with rooted ankles, I want some of the drugs he's on. top ride from him to come from so far behind.
Yep that was good raceing all right. the title race is going to be interesting, four contenders, only one manufacturer tho has to be Yamaha.

very impressive ride from rossi, pulling a gap on pedrosa in the last 5 laps. Lorenzo's a hard man racing with smoked ankles, he couldn't even get off the bike by himself & still managed 4th!!!!!

I see the Tornado turns into a Zephur again ? Must admit he looked good for 5 minutes .
The Ducati is testing the young Aussie's character, even his lovely little wife couldn't coax a smile..... Gaz.

Yeah Bill, thats what I meant as he came into the box, but I can appreciate he wants that number 1 spot.
Melandri had a new lease on life and the little Spaniard did a great job too.
Things look good and close for the rest of the Championship. Gaz.

Yeah, go the little Spaniard. Much as I'd like to see Rossi take the championship this year, if it can't be him, let it be Pedrosa.
I have a soft spot for surly migdets (something to do with being 5ft tall myself)
What tracks are in the series? Zuhai? Golden Port circuit?

Featured with the back markers this round. Ant west never seemed to do any better then last and John Hopkins had an off track experiance and never really made the ground up again. Finished 15th I think.
