Were they spinning?
cowboyz
3rd May 2008, 20:18
yep. Fairly windy and damn cold up there right now. They were all going round in circles. Looks awesome. Especially if you stand directly under one.
Oh yeah. got distracted before and never finished my post!!! My Bad.
The camera is a panasonic FZ7 point and shoot. 6meg 6x zoom. Paid $189 for it. I wasnt expecting much from it, just a cheap camera that I can take on the bike, but I am really pleased with the outcome.

Great shot.
One thing I really enjoy is seeing photos of rides through bikers eyes.

To be honest it is nice to get some bling for some quality contribution to the site rather than pissing taking and abusing people.
Pleased peoples are liking the photos.

Nice other pics too, amuses me when people give the wind towers crap about the look of them, you have done them justice, nice setting with sun setting.
What brand of camera?Bike looks cleaner than mine as well.
Trip time of 1 &1/2 hours for distance could mean you got lost, nah never.

Nice pic, I too managed to get out today in the Taranaki hinterland, before rain stopped play. Buggered if I know what the lakes called but it sure was pretty.
Ignore the top box, It's just there to carry my duty frees from whangamomona. Boy was I misinformed.

Pansonic FZ-7. No I didnt get lost! It would be a bit sad if I did considering I live right under the windmills. It was just a nice night to take some time out and have a few smokes.

Did you take it on any special setting(av, tv, manual)? It Looks great!
cowboyz
4th May 2008, 20:16
I took it on the highly techincal 'auto' mode. I am not a photographers asshole to be honest. 'auto' is the only mode I use.

4th May 2008, 20:51
Auto is best for all things. My Canon EOS has all sorts of settings on manual, but never seem to play with them, and it's a damn good film camera with two lens.Need to practice with the settings but write the settings down, much easier with digi camera as you see it straight away.
Bikes look shit hot by the water not in it lol.

Enjoyed your windmill shots cowboyz, specially as it is from my childhood area too but of course the windmills weren't there then!
I am taking the liberty to post a couple of pics of where I live now, on your thread.
Went out to have a look at the display of colours of the trees that occurs at this time of year all round here, thought I might share too. :niceone:
Hope you don't mind. :) Cheers John.
