An attempt to break the world record for “Santas on Bikes” sadly failed.

The attempt at Rockingham in Northamptonshire managed an estimated 2,500 Father Christmases who had travelled from all over the country. The Santas did four laps of the circuit Sadly, this fell way short of the existing record, set by the Portuguese in Euro 2004 when there were 5,443.

Proceeds from the event are going to Antics - a children's cancer charity.

Who comes up with these stupid world record attempt ideas?:argh:

How about I set the record for the most tennis balls (painted red) kicked into a puddle with exactly a litre of water in it whilst wearing a roller skate, without the laces tied up, on my head, signing to jingle bells, wearing a white shirt!

Daft records for daft records sake, I'd go along with you. But this was for charity, as I mentioned.

Of course, something I didn't mention (I didn't find out until later), it seems this raised roughly £20,000 to help kids with cancer. So I have no complaint.

If you did your tennis balls and bucket of water thing for charity, then I see no problem whatsoever...
