And they wouldn't have increased ACC levies to complain about either!!
(I in no way condone the riders actions. I think he's a darwin award in the making.

I'm in Melbourne and during the summer I see a lot of riders wearing tee-shirts and singlets.
Especially when the temperature goes over 40 degrees.

I'm in West Auckland and riders in nothing but a T-shirt is extremely common.
Though I've never seen a rider helmetless, topless, and on a phone all at once.
Though i've seen each individually.

I'm in Singapore at the moment, tons of motorbikes and very little gear. No gloves, only sandels on there feet, shorts and t-shirts. At least they have helmets on I guess. Even the motorbike cops have short sleeved shirts on. One excuse is the hot weather I suppose.

australians ....
The car in the second photo has a Texas plate (and a google search indicates that Rockwall Honda is a dealership in Texas).
Bloody septics.

I gotta mesh jacket, Draggin' Jeans and fullface + gloves; can stay cool enough even in Singers as long as I do not have to wait too long at the lights :2thumbsup

I knew the pics were from Yankeeland but wondered why the 'australian' comment was made - I just put it down to some obscure KB Norfeyeland joke...
:bash:
Amazing what happens in a place where people have more 'personable responsibility' - a concept somewhat foreign to UnZud dwellers and the polartishians that play at running the place...
skin must be getting cheaper these days

it doesnt matter if he doesnt influence our acc - it's actions like this from bikers all around the world that cause car drivers to hate us and run us off the road :msn-wink:

I was going to say, that looks like the sort of thing you'd see in the States, not Aussie.
When I was over there, I saw that sort of thing often. Wearing helmets is not a law requirement over there. God help 'em if they ever come off.

Saw a F**kwit like that on Sunday in TGA. It's pissing down with rain and this shit for brains is riding his scooter in tee shirt, shorts and jandals. :argh:
I guess the dumb arse figured it wouldn't hurt that much if he came off because he wasn't going very fast.
Perhaps those of us that can demonstrate that we have all of the right gear and use it should be given an ACC discount.:first:

He'll be handless is he falls off.
I've fallen wearing normal pants. No fancy Kevlar or Cordua. Only got a few scars to show for it.

Hope you're enjoying the very hot, or very wet, or very hot and wet weather of Singapore  yeah, you'll never see anyone there in full leathers. Anyone sane, at least. You'll probably dehydrate yourself dry by the time you walked to your bike... Helmets are made compulsory by law, but most helmets aren't certified safe. You can't beat imported, $100 Arai knock-offs.
