Whangarei - any farm members?

I am assisting a friend in purchasing a tractor. I used to have one myself and now he's picking my brains.

We've seen a good one in Whangarei and would love to find someone who could just look it over. We're close to taking the plunge sight-unseen but that does seem a little risky. We're not asking for a mechanical check or anything like that but simple stuff like
- does it go
- how much rust (there's always some)
- do the hydraulics go up and down
- Does the mower go round and round

If anyone feels like a ride into the country and wouldn't mind having a look, I'd be wrapt.

Yeah, it's a bugger. I spoke to the vendor, it'd done 805hrs and he only wanted $4,500. I told my mate to just buy it. Oh well ... we're going tractor shopping tomorrow so that should be fun Masterton, Pahiatua, Dannevirke, Palmy, Feilding, Levin, Otaki and home. In a cage :(
