I have seen 2 of em and I had heard your stories about the 400.
I have just had the GSXR250 and now the 600. Would be pretty mean to have a 1000 some day...
I wonder how many WT has had so far...

For the less astute ones, bike number 3 (bottom) is the same as bike number 3 in Dave's picture above, with 1 or 2 insurance covered modifications.
I think the ZX-10 is next on the cards, pending a gixxer versus kwaka test ride, anyway.

Yep, the Graves got pushed forward and turned into an aircraft body work piano accordian. The stainless steel headers and downpipe have been buffed to a chromy shine tho :) The bubble has been replaced by one of those fancy Iridium tinted 'unsmashable' screens from Mt Eden MC.
Still goes like a raped ape...

...on top of the bits earlier in the year, it reminds me of that 'my grandfather's axe' adage, only instead of "it's had 3 new handles and 2 new axe-heads" it's "That's the same gixxer, only it's had 3 new motors and 2 new bodies..."

Should get yaself a Yamaha, you'll like it so much that you'll keep it for at least a year.
That's right isn't it Cajun/FireFight??

Hmmm, dunno about that. WT seems to have a few of them over the last 11 months. They don't seem to last too well at all.

Sure they do.
The Trashman just performs a public service by lovingly initiating them before sending them out into the world to seek their fortune.

There's a guy in Napier with the old blue&white model 1100 (86?) The guy has had it from new & done 200,000 Km - never had the head off. I know the mechanic that services it. I doubt that any Yamaha will beat that. :bleh:

That's pretty damn impressive but I heard (urban legend?) of bmw's that have managed to beat that. Still something to be proud of never-the-less.

One of our mechanics had an 87 Gixxer Seven, 160,000 miles with nothing done other than cam chain and valve clearances.
I've never had a single mechanical failure from one. I've destroyed a few though

I've had several mechanical failures with Suzukis & it required a huge leap of faith to buy another... but now I am happy with my choice. My ZX6R (with 30kms) made 10 more hp than my R6 Yamaha racebike with 3kms. My old gsxr750 made the R6 seem like a toy.

You realise just how many people here are in agreement with you on the Buell. I think it'd almost put you in the majority.
