Hi all, first post et al.
Fat, bald, ugly, wife, kids and got the bike I've saved for for years, but am at that point where I'm looking at making it fit me I certainly ain't gonna be able to fit it.
I recently picked up an Ohlins rear shock as the sachs was leaking and had had enough.
I'd like to get the front sorted and the rear for my weight, perhaps even get some internals for the front to make them feel a little more confidence inspiring.
I'm after a basic setup, as i'm not a great hooner and will only ever do the odd track day...
I understand that there's a guy in Wellington somewhere who does good work, but I thought i'd ask, as i'm cash strapped at this present moment in time, what sort of $$$ am I looking at to have Fork Internals and both front and rear springs weighted for me? I'd think about rear internals, but i'd be kidding myself if I thought i'd be able to feel the difference.
Any help, much appreciated... thanks for listening

Hey Cajun, maaaan it's darker in here than it is at the other place and after what I read on here it runs out to be both physically and metaphorically relevant...
Sorry for attempting to clean up your rep there Pussy, but I generally approach with flowers and chocolates until my feet are under the table, before i feel comfortable with kickin someone in the nutz... even you
Mashman go to bottom of the page, on the left hand side is a drop down choose 'The Light Unverise" its currently set as 'The Dark Unverise'

Just as well... I'm normally described as something that starts with "C" and rhymes with runt. Thank you. Rob will be able to sort you out, guaranteed

Thanks for the pm which I will reply to shortly. I am indeed very busy and I have this sneaking feeling that on occassions there have been those that have deliberately perpetuated that perspective to serve their own ends!
BUT, I now have Dennis Shaw working for me as a full time tech, being the same guy who very very capably helped me during the road race nationals. I rate his abilities very highly and he just gets on with the job, no fanfare, no ego. As a consequence our turn round times are improving and soon will be very very good

Don't get me wrong, I kinda like the darker side...
Pussy, if it helps any, you'll always be a C**T to me... :2thumbsup
Robert - Ha ha, techy hogs, damn I hate them, especially when ya justy need a quick chat with yer dealer... but i suppose that's bound to happen when you're the best ...
It's been interesting, if not somewhat confusing at times, well most of the time, reading your posts... Great to find that the Kiwi's still run with their technology instead of letting it run them... Take your time with the reply, like I say, I need to get a few bucks together and thanks for your time...

That, or an ankle (three feet lower)
Robert has made a real score securing Denis Shaw's services as the second technician. Denis is not only a very thorough suspension tech, but also a highly skilled and experienced motorcycle mechanic. He's as fussy as Taylor... and that's saying something

You must have bloody long legs...
There's no such thing as being fussy, either do the job right or don't do it, unfortunately there's too much of the middle ground going on these days, rant over... I'd rather pay extra for the quality workmanship than find out something has been put together half heartedly as i'm flying through the air on my way into the nearest ditch rueing the day i saved a couple of hundred bucks...
