No its not another "What tyre should I buy thread!"
In the 9yrs that I've been biking, I've always owned 2nd hand bikes, and as is often the case I've always replaced front and rear treads seperately as required.
WELL the time finally came round when both were sufficently stuffed to replace front and rear at the same time. Wow what a difference!!! And to top it off I had the Steering Head bearings replaced to (49,000kms).
My bike is transformed, I've only done 30km on the new Conti Road Attacks, first time I've run these as well, and I'll say so far I'm a happy chap.
First impression of the tyre (I'm still scrubbing them in and the roads were wet this morning) is that they hold a line well, seem to gently roll in for the first 10-15deg then drop in nicely after that.
I had one small moment on them - but in fairness it was a tight down hill left hander, in the wet, before you could call the tyres scrubbed. I don't think I'll hold that against them especially seeing as they are the Road Attacks not the Sport Attacks.
All in all I'm really looking forward the giving them a good thrashing on the Queens B'day Turangi ride.
