Help! Workshop Manual for '87 GSXR250 Needed

Hi All, can anyone tell me where I can get a workshop manual for an old '87 GSXR250?, I have tried all the Tech Book shops, and am told there wasnt an aftermarket one made for this bike??, Perhaps where I could download one from? (Preferably Free :) I have replaced a cracked head and I need to know how many pins between timing marks?, also Im not sure if I have the cams round the right way, the square notches on the ends do they go on the right or left side of motor ( know which one is the exhaust cam is)

GSX250F -- that's a Bandit, innit?

The GSXR250s were those peculiar Jap domestic models that weren't officially sent anywhere else, so I don't think there'd even be an English translation.

The Bandit 250 has the same motor, however. Slight modifications to cams and compression ratio no doubt (they've got different performance specs) but that's the real puzzle.

Not sure, I thought the Engine would be the same, the other one says GSXR250.

Suzuki Across - same bike as the GSXR250, with different plastics, and the handy helmet in a tank storage. Frame, motor, most electrics same, maybe different suspension/brakes.

I think they GSXR250 were an official import in NZ and Denmark? I certainly remember the official Suzuki ads for it in Tearaway mag at school in the late 80's.

We have a Suzuki GSX250S Katana in the family and never have found a workshop or owners manual either. It is a Jap import. Anyone with info on that one? Love to hear from you.

I used the bandit diagram when I did the head gasket on my old gsxr250. That worked, but I had a spare motor in pieces to mock it up with first.
Before I got the diagram I tried working it out from what I had there but found 2 possible positions that don't clash valves and pistons from memory I think 13 and 14 chainpins apart on the top of the camgears with number one at TDC maybe?

Maybe aint good enough tho so at least get the bandit diagram before you try anything.
And ALWAYS turn it over gently by hand before you try and start it.
Trial and error was a cunt on that motor too with the way the cams are held in!

The katana, bandit, GSXR and across all have a motor based on the same block with some differences but I think the GSXR and across are the same.
