...when your youth used to be fun?

Wonder... how much would I get for these puppies on the intersalesweb if it were legal to flog them off?

:devil2:

Powder still seems to work, based on the results of one accidentally and ... errr ... spontaneously exploding after falling onto a lit match...

There are some fine, upstanding, dedicated citizens who still bring them into the country...

Along with a wonderful selection of things that go "BANG", "BOOM" and "WHOOSH" when the blue touch paper encounters a match.

One I enjoyed was about 150mm long by about 25mm diameter, stood upright on a square cardboard base and had a slow burning fuse coming out the side halfway up. When the first half went off (F*ckin big BANG, too) it would launch up into the air about 3 or 4 meters, then the other half exploded. Most excellent entertainment.

Too many farkers were starting to attack animals with them. Every guyfawkes you'd hear about the dead animals found or the SPCA reports. I'm glad they're gone. Imagine todays youth let loose with them......

Besides, nothings more entertaining than using those 10 shot shooting balls and chasing your mates whilst trying to fry the back of their hair! At least they ain't banned. They got a good 20-30 metre shot on them too.

Cowshit and double happy's wicked fun.Frogs and d/h not fun.

Used to get sky rockets and tie them to arrows, pull back, light fuse count and fire arrow into the air,if timed well the arrow keeps flying when rocket takes over,ok if you had broken tips, flights dodgy on the arrow and were ready to throw them out.And we were in semi rural area,i.e lots of bare land.

Worked well with a cross bow in Willis Street, circa 1975.

WooT WooT!!! Used to love those things. We would save all our pocket money for ages & only buy double happies he he. The most fun thing we did was attach a long fuse to each packet, then put one packet in each letter box up the street (under the cover of darkness of course :devil2:), like the whole street lol, then start at one end with a long piece of rolled up newspaper, light it & fly up the street (on ya BMX) as quick as possible lighting all the wicks as you go, Jesus used to make a hell of a racket lol.

Exactly, far too many fuckwits around these days, you only have to look at the Mormon few to see that

I do have a bag of sky rockets somewhere - spent a couple of hours with gijoe1313 pulling my gargre apart trying to find the bastards!

I believe I may need to look inside the house, but I know the bloody things are there, not sure if there are any Moon Travellers there or not though...
