Hi, I have a turn signal (indicator) issue on my '94 GSX-R1100WR which is driving me spare.
Can anyone provide some names and contact details for some really good motorcycle/auto electricians please?
Preferences are for someone that specialises in motorcycles (or at least works on quite a few and knows motorcycle electrics well), friendly, patient, customer oriented, fair priced, prompt (as this is my main transport), and is really proficient good at fault finding etc (i.e. someone that really knows what they're doing). Prefer someone out West Auckland, but anyone anywhere in or around Auckland would be ok too.
I do have a wiring diagram, and a parts manual printout which shows the wiring harness. This should be helpful in tracking down the fault.
This shouldn't be too hard to track down and fix for someone that knows what they're doing. Turn signal unit seems fine since the right turn signal is operating fine, but using the left flashes all four indicators. Issue occurred shortly after the front left indicator was broken and got water in it from the rain (can't be sure this is the reason though). Indicator has been replaced since but issue still remains. Headlights weren't working either. Joiner for the front part of the loom for the headlights and front indicators may be dodgy since one of the wires appears blackened with plastic on the metal clip which goes inside the connection block, but the flashing result is the same when this is disconnected. This block/terminals has been cleaned up a little and the headlights are now working. Switch and wiring from the switch also appears ok too when tested (no shorts between wires). I think I've gone about as far as I can go without removing the main harness and testing all the wires etc, but to be honest there are so many connections which seem to split and go all over the place and it's getting beyond me. Any offers of help and recommendations for a good sparky would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
