What do I need to do to get an old trail bike road legal again, I have all the bits for the bike, but more so need to know what to do about the paper war, I have no idea what the reg No of the bike was, or have any paper work with the bike, all i know is the bike is originaly NZ new, and is a comon Jap make and model.

whats the chassis number. ill do a check up
other wise last time i did this sort a thing get a JP to wittness and letter that states you are the right full owner make sure all lights etc (lenses ) are all original or at least have the stanley numbers on them then take it down and get it revind. You need the letter if you dont have ownership papers cauase theyll ask for proof of ownership. Good luck.

Thanks barty5 that sounds easier than I thought it would be, Just have to find a JP, that shouldnt be to hard.

Hope that your kind of bike been roadlegal in NZ before?.... otherwise it is a lot harder

yea a mate owned one in the 80s that was road legal.
