Is there any self tinting visor (like those transitional lenses) I can buy in NZ?

I don't mind if i have to change helmet's as I probably need a new one soon anyway. Preferably a visor and not an insert as I want to minimize the starring effect from vehicle lights at night.

my progrip tinted insert in my visor is slightly photochromatic.
As for a full helmet setup i have set a helmet that was like a welding helmet in the fact that it darken when it saw light. But in no way was it cheap - i think around the $2000 mark

Apart from water drops on your visor, the starring is caused almost entirely by minute scratches on your visor. If you make sure you are careful wiht cleaning it (always wet clean it, and NEVER use paper towels or tissues) you shouldn't have any issues.

There are photochromatic (http://www.webbikeworld.com/r4/photochromic-motorcycle-visor/) visors available. There are also electrochromatic (http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-accessories/2008/electrochromatic-visor.htm) ones - these are more betterer.

Fog city Hyperoptiks... approx $105.00, Whites import them. Even though they have the pinlock cut-outs, they actually are stuck to the visor. I have one, they work well

that Akura helmet impressed me so much (I like the integrated electrical options) I tried to get the photochromatic version but it appears you cant get that visor yet till "later in the Summer" by that I take it they mean US Summer :)
